A Colonial's Life on Rajah-4

Dear Diary: I ran out of paper in my notebook, so I must sacrifice a page for my history notes.

-Great Britain, at the height of the East India Company's power, truly conquered all of Europe and Asia. There was the Great War between the Americas and the British Empire, and that was fought to a standstill.

-The weapons and technology developed over two decades of global warfare rapidly advanced our understanding of nature. Leading the charge for the British was Dr. Henry Rickles, the discoverer of Soma, the fuel with which the Empire used to grow from terrestrial to galactic.

-Space exploration eventually led to colonization of a nearby planet dubbed Rajah-4, which is rich in Soma.

-The new element who's properties are still being experimented with; but has the known ability to fold space under the right conditions, and has allowed for much greater than light speed travel. Edwardian and Victorian culture spread to distant planets and colonies.

Now then. That mean Mrs Marshall won't let us use the autogram machine to take our notes. Says that we must conserve power in case the supply shipments from Kanda do not make it in time. I think she just likes to torture us.

Mother says that I need to take time to think about my life now that I'm of age. She is worried I won't find a good marriage partner with all my bad habits. She simply insists I write a page about myself.
