I am Mike. I work as a systems analyst at a local software company and teach college classes at night at the nearby high school. My wife and 18-year old daughter left yesterday to spend a month or so with her parents at their place in Florida. I will be joining them in a week.

It was about 8 am and the day was just starting to warm up. I was bumming around the house in my nylon basketball shorts and t-shirt, taking a few days off after several crazy weeks of work. I hadn't even turned on my cell phone.
