A Lust For An Affair

Deacon looks into the empty glass in front of him, watching it as if it'll somehow help him come to a decision. He could feel his vision beginning to go blurry as his head began to rock back and forth. He nearly fell until he felt another hand grab his shoulder, the person sitting down besides him

"Hey man, you alright? You ain't looking too hot." The man said.

Deacon muttered to himself, then to the man. Beginning a rant of slurred speech and dramatic hand gestures as he recalls the events of earlier in the day. Including his current question of how to make his girlfriend happy again.

The man listens, introducing himself as Ryan. He was a pretty well built man. Short stubble, athletic build, taller than Deacon by just a few inches but still almost the opposite of the way Deacon was built.

Deacon downs another glass as Ryan puts his hand on his chin, seemingly pondering something. He then snaps his fingers as if he had an idea, causing Deacon to chuckle at the silly way it looked.

The next moments are a blur for him, and all Deacon can remember is the man speaking to him, and Deacon just nodding his head agreeing with him without actually hearing him out. The man then asked for his phone, did something with his own phone, then the next thing Deacon knew the man had taken him to his house while his girlfriend sighed in frustration at the sight of her drunken boyfriend.

Deacon could hear the two of them talking in the hallway, but through his intoxicated state he could hear only faint, muffled voices. He could hear her laughing though, that was unmistakable. Then darkness filed his vision as he slept.

His girlfriend waved Ryan off, smiling and shaking her head she folded up a piece of paper and put it in her pocket, before lying down on the bed next to Deacon.
