The red zafara walked down the beaten trail, his eyes shimmering lightly at the night sky he could see scattered among the trees. With him was a companion of his, a draik, whose scales were dark blue and a pattern of lightning bolts jagging across the deeper hues.

It was a clear night, hardly a cloud in conflict with the shining moon and stars. Demalaxy, the name of the red zafara turned to face Storm, the lightning draik. Both had been traveling on the road of life for quite some time, about two cycles of Neopia. The draik was thankful to have the red warm coat keep him warm on the blistery winters, and the red zafara was grateful for having someone with arms that could reach his back when it itched.

"The stars are nice tonight..." The red one said, as energetic as ever.

"Mmmhmm..." The bolted draik murmured, usually always saying the simplest things possible, just staring at them himself.

"I think we should stay here for the night..." The Zafara claimed as he sat on a stump.

Storm smiled and said... "OK."

At that time another neopet showed their head, a female Ixi who called herself Reidie, she was also with the traveling group... though not as long as the two males had shared their friendship. The draik and the Ixi hit it off, and shared many interests, while the Zafara didn't really care about the topics so much, so his eyes wandered among the stars.

The Zafara and Draik seemed to be just close friends, but of course long journeys, cold nights, and the right mood could make close friends a little more. The draik and zafara certainly had their share of these encounters, though it was all in good fun. However ever since Reidie the Ixi came about the only time the Draik was interested in these close encounters was usually after the Ixi left the area, or wasn't talking. At least... it seemed that way to Demalaxy.

However, Demalaxy also liked Reidie's dominatrix behavior. He couldn't help his slightly submissive nature when it came calling. Every few nights he would ask her to help him fulfill these urges, with varying success.

"I remember that one battle in the Haunted Woods, boy was that a surprise..." The Ixi began talking about the battles she was in, and the Draik, being a warrior himself too great interest in the stories.
