Entering the run down old book store you can't believe your luck, and whether it is good or bad. When your ancient grandfather died after many happy years he left behind a wealth of different kind of riches, your parents inherited houses and companies, while your sister inherited a butt load of money... plus the yacht, and you... well you got a dingy old bookstore. you had no idea whether you could run it or not, luckily the building was now owned by you so you didn't need to pay any rent so to begin with the store would be more like your personal library.

Your grandfather was known to have been a collector so you were excited to see what kinda books he had left, and it was the interest in books that had been the biggest connection between you and your grandfather. You loved to get lost in other worlds whether that was in books, comics, movies or video games. The first thing you noticed when you entered was the towers of bookcases and on the front desk was an eye catching envelope. You grinned to yourself as you picked it up hoping there might have been more in your inheritance, and in excitement you opened it and started reading.

your probably a little disappointed that all you get is this old dusty library while the others get everything else. Don't worry I saved the best for you, and you will probably be the one to get the most fun out of this. You've probably wondered over the years how an old bookstore owner like me became so wealthy and I'll share that secret only with you. When i was very young I bought a book stand not knowing that it would become the greatest treasure of my life, because as i discovered when a book was placed on it, it could transport you into the world of the book. I've traveled countless world so unlike our own and brought so many treasures back, did ya know grandma was the beauty from beauty and the beast. I've experimented with it over the years and found that it works with almost anything so long as there is a world in it. That comic you once lent me worked with it too, and i just have to say that Wonder Woman has got one tight ass on her.

Now I do have to warn you as the first time i used it by accident I was trapped inside Moby Dick for 3 years. Each world has a different exit and in truth even i don't know if the exist will work the same for you, so if you do use it know that it might be next to impossible to get home. I've also discovered that the worlds we enter change with us, it might be small things like certain characters being younger or looking different but it can also be world changing differences, and from what I've discovered the changes are tied directly to the person using the book-stand. You might also discover that you don't always enter the world as yourself, sometimes, at least in my case, i was sometimes a mix of a character from the world and myself. If you do find yourself in this situation you might also have certain skills and memories from the character, these will stay with you permanently, how else do you think i got so good at sword fighting. Now i will not tell you how to use it or if you should use it as it can be dangerous but if you do decide to follow in my footstep then have fun and enjoy the women. Your dearest grandfather.

You couldn't believe your eyes, this had to be a bad prank of some kind, none the less you followed the instructions on the back of the letter and quickly found the magical book-stand in question hidden deep in the shop. Looking at it you couldn't decide whether you should take the chance or not, as the letter said it could be dangerous, but it was also a chance to explore a world so wholly different from you own. Making up your mind you rifled through the enormous shop finding some of the books you knew and some you had read, looking them over and deciding which one you should use as you might be stuck there forever.
