A Raiding Story

One dozen war horns cry the arrival of an equal number of long-ships; three red dragons on a field of patched white and black heralding the kingdom of Solumnia. As the ships make land, a hundred human, dwarf, and elf fighters jump from the upper decks at a breakneck pace, all frothing at the mouth; impatiently awaiting their chance to fill their rucksacks with loot and fill their lust upon the unlucky souls they have come to pillage.

One lone voice booms from the docks leading into village call the attention of the raiders as they see their worst fear, three dozen knights gleaming silver standing in front of four wizards.

"Set fire to their longboats and kill them all. There shall be No raiding from this day forward." Calmly spoke a beautiful redheaded female wizard in a low cut dress atop a black stallion.

At her command, the other three mages shot fireballs from their hands toward the longboats, setting the sea-faring vessels aflame and causing a shock wave of energy that knocks down most of the vikings.

Those vikings that were brought to the ground were spared the lances of the knights who charged the remaining invading host. Within just a turns of the horses, there were only a few surviving vikings. Back to back they stood, sending prayers to Thor for deliverence. The God was not merciful that day. A chained lightning sent from a wizard ended their lives.
