It was not one thing but a collections of things. Most scientist across the globe projected that in 5 generations that the human race would become an endangered species. A global conference was held in the major countries and many plans were discussed. The consensus was the high divorced rate was the cause, so an arranged marriage system was enacted with an formula in creating matches between partners.

The rules of the arrange marriage was between a viable guy and girl that were deemed compatible that would produce high pregnancy. They had to have the right amount intelligence but still attractive toward each other. The countries that used this pairing produced promising results in births. There was also new laws that made divorce impossible for these arranged pairings. And all children were put into a schooling system aimed at creating compatibility. The students with similar IQ and likes moved to the next level schooling together. The compatibility would start from kindergarten until they turned eighteen.

Before the final year, each boy and girl would have to make a list of ten people in there high school that they can be paired with and take a matching exam. Shortly after the results, the pair are notified And ninety percent of the time there partner was on there list and both had to enter a special camp intensify there partners likes and dislikes. Then the boy and girl is a given injections on there senior year enforcing there bond.

This process has gone on for last five hundred years, the births rates have steadily improving every generation. The world also evolved, it had become a female dominant society with centralized global government and recently built ships to reach outside the solar system. The last male president was over thirty years ago. All other diseases had all but vanished. The only negative effect was men in the arrange marriage made up about 35% of the population and every year the number was dwindling. What use to be countries now provinces that still did not use the arrange marriage process, made up about fifty percent but they had another issue with low sperm count.

The process at this school was different. The girl would find out during the camp whom her future husband was and boy finds out first week of school.
