Bounty Hunter for Hire

The place is always different, buts somehow it always feels the same. A shitty bar on Nar Shadaa, a rundown Cantina on Tatooine; it really doesn't matter. The music is always too loud, the drinks are never strong enough, no one smiles when they see you. Big wide galaxy, but nothing really changes.

Sure, the job might be different. Sometimes it's a fool who borrows money he knows he can't repay, or a "virgin" daughter runs off with a handsome smuggler. But someone's always trying to find someone else; when it's a smart someone, they look for you first.

At least, that's what you keep telling yourself. You're Corvin Marks, a bounty hunter currently operating out of a bar in Coruscant's lower levels. Unfortunately, business has been slow recently. The high crime rate and political upheaval has attracted competing bounty hunters like flies to a Bantha carcass. After all, that's why you wound up here in the first place.

While you're competant enough to afford to operate a small ship and remain independant, you aren't exactly famous either. You have a small crew, but they are more suited to support roles and are occupied repairing the Convor after a pirate attack while en route to Coruscant. Thus, here you are running jobs out of Easu's Speakeasy.

Still, this bar is well known to locals as the place to go for hired help of a less-than-official sort, and you get on well enough with the owner. Easu is a bit of a surly Zabrak, as most dive owners seem to be, but you pay your tab and aren't against using your blaster to help intimidate the more violent drunks, so he keeps you in mind if he overhears any work rumors. He's sort of scowling at you now, but you think that's just his default expression? Hard to say.

You sip your drink at a dark back table, scanning your handheld datapad for interesting work and waiting for your luck to turn.
