Burglar

You are what some people call a hand in the night. Less pretentious people, such as yourself would say that you’re a burglar. Sure it may be kind of a dick move to break into other people’s houses and steal their stuff but maybe they should protect their stuff. It wasn’t like you could actually do anything else. Stealing was all you knew how to do, and all you really wanted to do. Breaking into someone’s house was you couldn’t get enough of. It gave you so much power, and it made you feel so smart.

Unfortunately you lived in a tiny town… with roommates… and don’t forget about how poverty stricken the town is. That’s what happens when the factory that kept most everyone employed closes down. Some kind of embezzling scheme, you weren’t really paying attention, it doesn’t really matter. Only one thing really mattered, a town where the ‘wealthy’ barely had two dimes to rub together wasn’t a town that could support a professional burglar.

That was why you moved. A brand new town, literally. Having just been built in the past decade most of the people who moved into the area were young and well off. Sure not everyone was well off but you could always just stay in the east side of town. How could you resist a town full of people still new to protecting their own belongings? Someone with your skill set could make quite a living in a town like Eden.

While sitting in your newly purchased house. Let’s ignore the crippling debt you placed yourself in to purchase it. You thought about what exactly you could do with your first real night in town. Money sounded good, it wasn’t until you moved into a full sized house that you realized how few things you own. You did only have one room after all at your old place, why would you have more than a tv, dresser, and bed. At least your friends gave you the couch you all bought together. They were good guys. Regardless, down to business?
