Everyday Screw: The Library

It was hot outside. The kind of heat and humidity that is positively oppressive. It felt like the summer would never end, and during the hottest weeks of the year your AC took a shit. The fans aren't doing anything to move the still, swampy air. The closest place with good Wi-Fi and climate control is the library. It's been updated with a lot of quiet corners, a small coffee shop tucked into it, and a decent computer lab. the stacks are well organized but they're basically a maze. Security there is a joke, and you know for a fact that the only place there are cameras happens to be right up by the front desk and the front doors.

The building is two stories, plus the archives in the basement, but nobody is allowed into the archives without special permission from the librarian.

It's the perfect playground for your dirty mind to just wander. As you're walking there today, seeing everyone on the street wearing as little as possible to beat the heat, you start really looking forward to the scenery inside. Pushing open the front doors the cool climate controlled air is a miracle of modern engineering. The place isn't exactly packed today, but you do see a number of people wandering around especially over by the computer lab. The aging librarian gives you a polite smile and nod, her glance lingering just a little bit longer than it normally does from the side of her eye as she pretends to be busy with whatever is on the desk in front of her.
