From the Pages of Fantastic Four

The confrontation had not gone as the Fantastic Four had planned. They had saved She-Hulk from the slave pits, and Reed had freed his team from the devices of the Psycho-man. However, here he was King, and his powers seemed almost limitless.

The villain stood watching as the team along with She-Hulk went about facing their utlimate fears. In each nightmare, they watched their teammates fall. The situation seemed helpless.

Sue's nightmare was the worst. What she saw was unspeakable. Her senses finally failed her and she shrieked, "ALRIGHT! I WILL DO IT!"

Psycho-man smiled. He released the buttons on the control box. All five of the heroes came out of their nightmares.

Reed looked at his wife. "What do you mean?"

Sue looked down at the ground ashamed. "It is the only way."

Johnny was confused, "What is the only way?"

The other four heroes watched as Sue walked up to Psycho-man. They were shocked as he let her approach. She pushed down the control box, so he couldn't press the buttons. "If you release them, I will give you what you want."

"You know what this means," he smiled.

Susan Richards shook her head. It was the only way to save her team. "I understand. And I accept my fate."

Pyscho-man released all of their mental and physical binds. "You all may leave!"

Johnny and Ben ran for the fantasti-car which appeared before them. She-Hulk soon followed. Reed watched as his wife simply looked down at the ground ashamed. "Come Susan, we must leave now!"

Psycho-man cackled. "I'm afraid Susan will be staying here with me!"

"That's madness!" Reed shouted moving towards Sue, but and invisible field stopped his progess. "Sue let down your field."

Psycho-man stood up and put his arm around Sue. "You see Mr. Fantastic, Susan's vision was of a world were she didn't agree to stay here with me. A world were you will all die!"

"It's just a vision Sue, it's not real," Johnny pleaded.

"It is very real," Pyscho-man smiled evily, wrapping his arms around Sue. She began to weep.

"PLEASE LEAVE NOW!" Sue begged, putting her hands to her face.

"Whatever he has done can be undone?" Reed assured his wife.

Psycho-man picked up the control box. Sue shook her head at him. He nodded, "If you four do not leave now, I will destroy you all!"

"What about Susan," Reed asked.

The villain began to open a portal back to the larger dimension of Earth. "She is to remain here as my Queen."

"No," Johnny cried out. But he too felt an invisible field pushing him and the rest towards the portal.

As he was enveloped by a bright light inside the portal Reed cried out. "We'll come back for you Susan!"

He could here the Psycho-man's words as he faded away and began to grow back into his own dimension. "You can not return," the pyshco-man called, "but do not fear, I will give her all the attention you never did Dr. Richards." The last thing Reed heard was Psycho-man's cackling voice, "Someday I hope you can meet our children!"

Reed and the rest of the Fantastic Four, minus Sue, but plue She-hulk found themselves once again in the Baxter Building. "Hurry Reed, we needto go back."

Reed was several steps ahead of him. He punched the numbers in his computer. "DAMN IT!"

Ben was worried at the outburst of the usually calm Reed. "What is it?"

"I can't find the coordinates for the Microverse any longer. It's as if it vanished!"

She-hulk chimed in with her own worry. "What does that mean?"

Reed looked at his "new" team. "We can't go back!"
