Genie vs Genius

You come home exhausted from the long flight and the trouble at the airport. However, all that exhaustion is overruled when you take the relic out of your bag. It's a magical oil lamp. Years of research and expeditions have led you to this moment. It all started with that strange call you got about a month ago. A reader of your blog had heard rumours of king Abbah Ay'crul, who was said to have come to power through magical ways. Many believed it was the gods who chose him, but the man thought it might have been a Djinn, or genie, doing the work. A clue like every other, but it intrigued you anyways. You traveled deep into the deserts of Africa to raid the tomb of the king.

You put the lamp down and start taking pictures of it. When you finish taking the pictures you put it on your workdesk and turn on a table lamp. You haven't touched it yet, always wearing gloves while handling it. You take off your gloves and touch the lamp. Nothing happens. You then slowly start rubbing it in small circles until you can feel it getting warmer. You keep rubbing until a plume of smoke exits the lamp. More and more smoke fills the room but you keep rubbing the lamp while coughing. A booming voice rings your ears. "Who summons the Djinn of king Abbah Ay'crul." You are scared to open your mouth, afraid that you can't breath the smoke, but you do it anyway. "It is I who has summoned you. It is I who is your new master." The Djinn laughs a hearty laugh. "And who is this 'I'?"

"It is not of importance who I am, because to you I am master." The Djinn chuckled again. "Very well then. After 1247 years in slumber I have power to fulfill one wish for you, master." He added the last words very condescendingly. You had been prepared for this. Djinns were always described as cocky and would always try to change your wishes or misinterpret your words. Luckily for you, your wish is very simple. "I wish that everything I state as a fact becomes the truth." The Djinn laughed. "A very interesting wish. Are you sure this is your wish?" You smile a cocky smile. "Yes, I am sure." The Djinn laughs. "It shall be so. Your wish has been fulfilled. Now I must ask you a favour. Release me from my eternal torment." A real classic, the Djinn who asks for his freedom. "If I free you, you will forever be my servant and you will obey my every command." The Djinn replies confidently. "You don't have the power to do that. Don't forget I have the power to undo your wish at any moment." You look surprised, this was new information. Or the Djinn was bluffing. Didn't really matter. "You no longer have the power to undo my wish." The Djinn almost screams out in fear and frustration. "What will it be, eternal slumber or eternal servitude?" The Djinn looks like he is going to kill you. "I would rather never see the light of day again than to serve you." You smile. "Very well then. Oh and in case you were wondering, my name is -"
