Catelynn Rider has lived on a secluded farm her whole life. Her overprotective father would never let her travel into town, as he feared men would take advantage of her innocence. She spent most of her days milking the cows, reading, and occasionally swimming in a nearby pond.

Catelynn dreamed of traveling and meeting all kinds of interesting people, maybe even finding her one true love.

Today is her 18th birthday, a day that will change her life forever. Catelynn lays in the grass, daydreaming, as the sun shines on her freckled face.

"Catie!" Her mothers voice breaks the peaceful silence. Catelynn sits up and look to her mother.

"Catie, your father and I are going into town, we'll be back in a few hours." She kisses her daughter on the forehead and tell her to be careful.

Catelynn says goodbye and lays back down, wishing she could go with them, but knowing her father would never allow it.

Her mind wanders, she begins to imagine a prince coming to rescue her from this lonely place, taking her to magical places full of wonder. After a while of daydreaming, she decides to get back to reality and heads inside.
