Kara's Mistake

Central City

Kara was hired, in Central City Picture News before she absolutely had to take a maternity leave, and she just began her morning.

She entered CC Jitters and got her usual coffee when she 'accidentally' bumped a familiar man.

"Oh," Kara began, "I'm sorry for bumping into you like this." Kara apologized.

"We always seem to meet in a coffee shop, don't we?" The man asked her.

"Adam?" Kara said surprised, "It's nice to see you again, it's been a while."

"Yeah, it had been." Adam agreed.

"What are you up to now?" Adam asked.

"Well, I moved to Central City to be closer to my fiance and his family." Kara explained.

"We have a lot to catch up on, what do you say to a cup of coffee?" Adam asked, "After you finish this one, I mean." He added while chuckling.

"Sure, I have some time to kill before I meet up with Barry." Kara said.

Adam got a cup of coffee for the both of them and Kara blushed at the gesture. Damn hormones.

"Who's this Barry?" Adam asked, noticing the blush.

"Barry Allen is my fiance, Adam." Kara said, "He was...there for me when I had a tough time. I was going through a broken heart and he stood by me when I needed him the most." Kara explained.

"Sounds like a good guy." Adam complimented with a fake smile.

"Yeah, um," Kara began, not knowing how to explain what happened without giving away too much, "Barry is a really sweet guy, he's smart too, he owns STAR Labs."

"Yeah, um," Adam said, finding something to distract Kara, "Look, a concert." Adam pointed at the park, full of people.

Just then Barry Allen walked into Jitters and ordered a Flash coffee drink. And then he noticed Kara sitting there with a man.

Adam dragged Kara away and went to the concert, when a love song began, he started his move. He kissed Kara.

Kara was so surprised by that kiss but reciprocated. Her hormones making her feel giddy.

Barry just watched from afar as his fiance and the man kissed.

'Maybe it's best if I disappear in April.' Barry thought, 'Kara seems to have found the man who could replace me if I disappear.' Barry thought sadly

Kara was so lost in the kiss that she didn't hear Barry's thoughts.

"Bye Kara." Barry whispered before he ran towards Star City.

STAR CITY

Barry just checked into a hotel in downtown Star City when suddenly he heard a voice.

'BARRY!', the voice said, 'Where are you?'

Barry ignored the voice and tried to cut himself off of this Kryptonian Bond.

"I need to start a life here, a new life." He said to himself.

'Why?' The voice asked, 'Why did you leave me?'

Barry just ignored Kara again and decided to clear his head of any information on where he is.

Central City

Kara tried to think about why Barry would do this, about why he would just up and leave. And then the thought came to her, he saw her kiss Adam Foster.

"Oh no." She flew towards National for advice.

Alex was sitting on the couch and watching TV when a rush of wind entered her apartment.

"Alex," Kara began, "I screwed up, Adam came back and dragged me to a concert and kissed me and I kissed him back and Barry saw that." she told her sister.

"What did Barry say to you?" Alex asked.

"Nothing," Kara said, "He left Central City and now I can't find him." she explained.

"Wow, you've made quite a mess here, Kara." Alex commented, "You can't solve this problem without breaking someone's heart." She warned.

"I didn't mean for this to happen, it's just Adam kissed me and my pregnancy hormones took over." Kara explained.

Before Alex could reply, a call from Oliver interrupted their conversation.

"Hello Oliver." Kara greeted the green archer.

"Hi Kara," Oliver began, "Barry's at a bar trying to drink his sorrows away even though he can't get drunk, what did you do to him?" he asked.

"I made a mistake, a can-possibly-break-up mistake." Kara replied.

"Well, Barry has made it clear to me that he doesn't want to speak to you," Oliver began, "Ever. And he also said that maybe it's best that he disappears in 2019 because you've found his replacement."

Kara's heart broke at Oliver's statement. She was the one finding out a way to keep Barry from disappearing and be with him, but now, she was the cause of Barry wanting to disappear.

"Please tell Barry that I am sorry, will you do that for me, Oliver?" she asked.

"Sure." Oliver replied, he then told Barry that Kara was sorry but Barry just walked out and flashed away.

Kara saw a familiar color of lightning behind her and turned around to see Barry there.

"I just came to pick up my things and to tell you that I will always love you and to give this back to you." Barry took off his engagement ring and gave it to Kara.

Lightning danced around the apartment and then a second passed, half of the things were gone, including the speedster.

Kara just collapsed to her knees and started to cry. She was full-on sobbing.

Barry arrived at the hotel and dropped his stuff. He cried silently but told himself that Kara's now happier.

Kara blamed herself, she pushed him away and now she's all alone and paying the price, she already can see the looks that she will receive from thei-her children, saying that because of their mother, they will never see their father again.

"Kara," Adam said knocking at her door.

"Go away!" She yelled.

"What's wrong?" Adam asked, "Did one simple kiss sabotage your relationship?" he asked, "I mean it's not like we had sex or anything like that." he told her.

"You don't get it, do you!? Just go away!" She yelled at the door again.

"You know my mother figured out that you're Supergirl." Adam said, "She told me too."

"I don't care anymore! I lost him, I lost him." Kara screamed then sobbed.

"Just like you lost Mon-El?" he asked.

"You don't know Barry!" Kara said, finally opening the door, "He is destined to die and we were enjoying our time together, and now... and now he's gone because of me and I lost him now." She explained.

"I'm sorry, Kara." Adam told her, "I just wanted to patch things up between us but I've made them worse." he commented.

Kara just cried and pushed Adam out of the door and said, "Never speak to me again."

Kara cried herself to sleep that night.

Maxwell Lord was monitoring Kara Danvers' conversation with Adam and decided that maybe he could do something to help her. Kara needs to lose her inhibitions. She needs to be affected with the Synthetic K.

Next Morning

Kara woke up and said, "Good Morning, Barry." sleepily, before remembering what happened last night.

She can no longer feel Barry in her head and that made tears flow down her eyes when suddenly she heard a knock at her door.

"Who is it?" Kara said, trying to sound normal.

When there was no answer she used her X-Ray vision to look at the outside of the door. She saw no one there but a package on the ground.

Kara went to get the package and opened it, she saw the thing that she fears the most. Red Kryptonite.

Kara's eyes began to glow red and she felt her anger rose up. She feels free and pissed. About Adam, about Barry, but most of all, she was angry at herself.

She decided to try to seduce Barry by texting him naked photos of her.

Kara sent Barry the photos and she got a photo back. It was him and a girl smiling at each other.

Kara felt jealousy.

She put on her Supergirl uniform and flew towards Star City. She used her enhanced vision, hearing and X-Ray vision to find Barry.

Barry is on a date, trying to move on from Kara, he is enjoying his time and her company. Her name is Melissa.

Kara saw them and then felt guilt, anger, jealousy, and sadness upon hearing and seeing Barry with someone else, she was the one who wasted him and pushed him away, she felt tears streaming down her cheeks.

She just grabbed Barry from his date and flew him up above.

"Kara?!" Barry asked, when she stopped flying, "What are you doing?! And stop sending me nude pictures, I was on a date. We're over, just go back to Adam." Barry yelled at her.

"Barry," Kara began, "I'm sorry, my hormones took over that time and I regretted it." Kara tried to explain.

"Land me back down and I'll say if I will go back or not." Barry compromised.

Kara immediately landed on a rooftop and let go of Barry.

"So, what's your answer?" Kara asked her former fiance.

"Kara," Barry began, "I love you, I always will and for that I forgive you but I can't trust you, Kara. Not anymore." Barry answered.

Kara nodded defeatedly, knowing she can't just force him into a relationship.

"I have to go back to my date, sorry but I need to move on." Barry said, even though he's lying to himself.

Barry just ran away while crying, he wanted Kara but he knows that this is the best course of action for them.

4 Months Later

Kara and Adam started dating again and Kara already gave to the twins, she named them Karen and Alex Danvers, she has not seen Barry since the Red Kryptonite incident on Star City.

It's February of 2019 and the future newspaper is now much nearer and a few things changed like Kara Danvers-Allen is now Kara Danvers and The Death of Green Arrow was erased.

She still feels guilty about pushing Barry away. No one has seen him since the 'Star City Incident'.

Kara was at her and Adam's apartment, when Adam came home drunk, again.

Adam always comes home either drunk or beaten up. Kara decided that she will break up with him and try to raise the children on her own.

"Adam," Kara called out, getting Adam's attention and said, "We're done, pick up your things and go." She demanded.

"Whatever." Adam shrugs as he packed up his bag and leave.

Barry Allen's name suddenly appeared on a news broadcast, he announced that he was selling STAR Labs to the highest bidder.

"What happened to him?" Kara asked herself.

A blue smoke then surrounded her and then she was in STAR Labs, she doesn't come by here often because Team Flash blames her for all of them losing Barry.

"What are you doing here?!" Caitlin yelled at her as she transforms into Killer Frost.

Killer Frost came back because the lack of happiness in Caitlin's life, she had Charlie and Cisco but nobody understands her like Barry.

"I don't know how I came here." Kara said raising her hands up.

Just then the whole Team Arrow arrived and then The Legends and The Justice League arrived.

"Why are we all here?" Kara asked.

The Monitor showed himself and said, "Not all.", he then snapped his fingers and the missing Scarlet Speedster arrived.

"Barry's back! I can't believe it, he came back." Kara thought to herself.

"No thanks to you," Barry thought to himself. Not knowing that Kara could hear that.

She blushed and began hitting herself inside as she realized that Barry didn't stop loving her and lied about moving on.

"Wait, if we're all here, that means..." Kara said.

"Yes , it's time." The Monitor said.

"But it isn't April yet!" Kara said.

"April is when the Crisis will end, but now is when it starts." The Monitor informed them.

All of the heroes began to cry as they know that Barry will disappear and never be seen again.

Barry just walked towards the Time Vault and locked himself there.

"Gideon, do you remember the command that I gave you last year?" Barry asked.

"Of course, should I prepare it?" Gideon asked for permission.

"Yes and make a new video file." Barry ordered.

"Recording." Gideon informed Barry.

"Hi guys..." Barry said his final goodbyes.

Kara heard all of it and began to sob. Their kids never had the chance to see their father and never will now. She regretted talking to Adam that day. That day where she broke his heart.

Barry finished his recording and greeted everyone else except Kara, when he came up to her he asked her, "Can I see them?"

Kara shook her head and said, "You can't they're at Argo to be safe from Darkseid, if he ever shows up." She explained.

Barry just nodded his head and walked off.

"How are things going between you two?" Oliver asked Kara.

"Not good, it's awkward and I don't know what to do." She replied.

"You know what last advice I gave Barry before he... went away?" Oliver asked her.

Kara shook her head and decided to listen to the advice.

"I said that Love is a powerful thing, it makes us do things that we think is right, for example is Blitzkrieg, he sacrificed himself just for His Kara and for him, what he is doing is right." Oliver explained.

"That's exactly what Barry did, he let you go not because he just wants to but because in his mind, he thinks it's right and the right thing for him is making you and children happy." Oliver explained to Kara the advice.

"Thank you, I really wish the twins can see him." Kara said.

"Yeah, me too." The archer replied.

1 Month Later

They spent a whole month fighting shadow demons and identified their enemy is the brother of the Monitor and that he has a sturdy armor that can only be broken if punched in Infinite Mass.

The whole league knew this is it. This is where Barry Allen dies, a hero, a friend, a father.

They formed a plan and it failed due to Psycho Pirate's betrayal and Barry had no choice but to punch the armor in infinite mass.

Barry looked around him and saw the death of millions and he can stop it, he needs to do this.

Barry began to run around the Anti-Monitor to weaken his armor and when he feels himself dying, he thought to Kara, "I love you, Kara. I always will and tell the kids I-" his did not get to finish his thought.

Supergirl was crying because she lost him again and she promised that he will not die but he did.

The Crisis ended with The Green Arrow shooting the Anti-Monitor with a specialized arrow in the head.

All of the heroes were mourning Barry's death. When a video started playing.

"Kara, Karen and Alex, I don't have much time, if you're watching this, it means I'm dead, the plan didn't work and I disappeared," Barry began, "Kara, move on from me, find another love, somebody you can raise our children with." Barry said sadly. "Alex and Karen, even if I'm not with you growing up, just know that I'm so proud to call you my son and daughter, and no matter what, just know that I will always love you three." He finished.

Kara was full-on sobbing, she remembers that day clearly and she was grateful that even though Barry and her didn't work, he still loves her and wanted their children to know that.

Another video played after the other.

"Hi guys, if your watching this it means I'm dead and I-I just want to let you guys know that it has been an honor to know all of you, to fight along side of you but-but it's now up to you to keep our home and my family safe," Barry then made the Vulcan sign with his hands and said,"I am and shall always be your friend." The video paused at a picture of Barry smiling sadly.

This is it. The end of the race. The end of an era, The end of The Flash.

The Speed-Force

Barry Allen woke up inside the Speed-Force. It wasn't the Speed-Force Prison though, it was just the Speed-Force. He appeared to be inside what looked like his home from the year 2000, when his mother was murdered by Eobard Thawne.

"You did good, son." Nora Allen or something that had the appearance of Nora Allen said.

"What happened?" Barry asked, he can't remember anything that just happened.

"It's not your business anymore, son. You belong here, not there." Nora said.

"Are you my mother?" Barry asked, "Or is this the Speed-Force talking to me?" he asked her.

"Both." Nora said, "We're so proud of you, you fulfilled your destiny and did what was necessary, and for that we will give you anything you want." Nora said to Barry.

"I just want Kara Danvers to be happy and I want the pain in my heart to go away." Barry commented.

"If that is your wish, then." Nora said.

STAR Labs

The videos had just ended playing and everyone was mourning when a storm began outside and a familiar portal opened up.

"Where am I?" Barry asked confused.

"Where Kara can be happy." Nora answered vaguely.

"Goodbye mother." Barry said sadly.

"Goodbye, my beautiful boy." Nora said, walking backwards.

The Justice League went outside and saw a man on his back.

"Barry?" Batman asked, "How are you still alive?" he asked in astonishment.

"Even, I don't know how it happened but I'm glad I came back." Barry said, smiling.

"Barry!" Kara exclaimed, coming out of the labs, "I'm sorry, Barry. I'm so sorry about everything, please forgive me." she said while on her knees begging and pleading.

"Kara, get up." Barry said, chuckling, "I made it clear last year that I forgave you, don't worry, I just want you to be happy." He finished.

"If you want me to be happy then help me raise our children, Barry." Kara said, "They want to know who their father is." she commented.

"Of course, anything else?" Barry asked her.

"Come here, Barry. I'll fly you to them." Kara said with a smile.

Barry walked over to Kara and she gently grabbed him and she took off into the sky.

The Justice League watched on with smiles on their faces as Barry held onto Kara while she was flying. They all had their friend back.

Argo City

The two arrived in the lost city in space and landed in a house.

"Mom! Can you please get the girls? Somebody wants to meet them." Kara said.

"Girls?" Barry asked, "I thought one of the twins was a boy," Barry said in confusion.

"Well, things changed, I guess." Kara shrugs.

"So, did you miss me when I 'died' Kara?" Barry asked teasing her.

"Of course, I promised you that I would save you and you would not disappear but that stopped when I cheated on you and I regretted it." Kara admitted.

"Would you like to know what happened while I was gone?" Barry asked her.

"If you're comfortable, in telling me, but I don't think you trust me anymore." Kara said, tearing up.

"I woke up inside the Speed-Force." Barry admitted. "The Speed-Force took on the appearance of my mother and 'she' told me that I did good, and promised to give anything that I wanted." Barry explained, "And I told her that I just wanted you to be happy, and I wanted the pain in my heart to go away." Barry finished, admitting that to her.

Kara just stared at him, she did not know how much she really meant to him until right now.

"I'm still confused about something though." Barry admitted. "I don't know why the Speed-Force brought me back, when I said that "I wanted you to be happy," I assumed it would be without me, though." Barry admitted.

"Maybe because without you I will never be happy." Kara whispered quietly.

"I-" Barry began, "I always wondered how things could change between us so much," Barry commented, "I mean, when I first met you, I had no idea that I was in love with you, and I assumed that James Olsen would be the guy that was in your future." Barry said in thought.

"Then when you showed up in Central City unconscious with your mind trapped inside that musical dreamscape and Mon-El said that he was your boyfriend, I couldn't help but I feel a little jealous." Barry admitted, "I didn't know why at the time." he said. "I just looked at Mon-El and thought he doesn't deserve her." Barry commented, "That was rather...arrogant of me, I know." Barry told Kara.

Before Kara could reply, her mother came back with two beautiful girls in each arm. They all looked like Kara.

Barry went over to whisper in Kara's ear, "Should I tell them that I'm their father? I mean it's up to you." Barry said.

"If you tell them now, they won't understand you, they're just a month old, Barry." Kara informed him.

"Can I hold them?" Barry asked Kara.

"Of course, they're your children too." Kara agreed.

Barry went to pick up both of his daughters and hugged them.

"Hello," Barry said, "You're so beautiful, just like your mother over there." Barry said to them.

Kara blushed at the compliment and picked up Karen.

"Thank you for letting me see them, for at least one last time." Barry said while smiling.

"Barry," Kara began, "You're not going to let them grow up without a father are you?" she asked.

"They already have," Barry said, "Oliver, Cisco, Charlie, and Clark." He listed off, "Plus you can't find a date with me here, I'm going to explore the Multiverse, probably finding a Kara for me in the process." Barry told his plan to Kara.

Kara just gaped at Barry in shock, he was planning on leaving her again.

"Why? What's wrong? This is the best course of action I can think of, for the both of us." Barry reasoned.

"Barry," Kara began, "I meant what I told you when I was affected by Red Kryptonite, none of that was a lie." she said.

"What part?" Barry asked.

"That I was affected by my hormones because I was pregnant at the time." Kara explained, "I mean, haven't you ever made a mistake in a relationship, Barry?" she asked him.

"I'm not perfect, I made mistakes but in our situation, I made the right decision, your happiness or mine, I chose yours." Barry explained.

"I've tried to make it work with Adam, I've really have but he always came home either drunk or beat up or both, Barry." Kara explained.

"I know that someday, you will find the one for you but for me… she's out there, in the multiverse, I hope you find him. Goodbye Kara." Barry told his former fiance and mother to his daughters.

"Goodbye Barry." Kara said sadly.

Barry ran in circles until a breach opened and ran through it.

Kara is already missing him, she just got him back but she did not fight for him to stay, to be with him again, she regretted it. Another mistake.

Barry Allen ended up in a world where there was no Justice League, in a world where there was a group called, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Barry saw a red-suited man swinging from building to building and caught him and tried to get information on this Earth.

"Where am I?" Barry asked him.

"New York, who are you?" The man with a spider symbol asked.

"You wouldn't me believe if I told you." Barry said.

"When you fought a purple potato in outer space, you will be open-minded to anything." The man said.

"My name is Barry Allen, and I am The Fastest Man Alive." he said, quoting his daily inner monologue.

"Alright, come with me." The man said swinging to a unique building with an 'A'.

"Peter," Carol Danvers said, "Who is this?" she asked.

"His name is The Fastest Man Alive." Peter answered.

"Actually, the people of my Earth used to call me The Flash," he explained, "The Fastest Man Alive, is just my catch-phrase." he told them.

"Okay but that does not explain why you are here." Carol said to Barry.

"I'm here right now, because I want to be here." Barry told Carol, "Speed is my superpower and I can travel to any Earth in the Multiverse." Barry explained.

"Okay, what do you want? I already saw that face people make when they want something." Winter Soldier said.

"I want to make a new life here and I want to help out whenever, I can." Barry said.

"Well there's no more life here to live and just travel to another universe." Carol answered him.

"Will you please explain to me what happened here?" Barry asked them.

"We faced a universal threat and many heroes died and half of the universe's population is dead." Carol answered.

"Would you mind telling me when it happened?" Barry asked, "Because I can travel through time and fix what happened." Barry explained.

"You can't, dude." Peter denied, "What happened is we time traveled to the past to fix the future and we created a fixed timeline, if you mess with it…" Peter trailed off

"Okay," Barry began, "I understand." he said while preparing to leave.

Barry ran in circles again until a breach opened and stepped through it.

Barry ended up in a world where there were people called, "Mutants" and there was a group called the "X-Men."

"Hey bro," a white-haired man greeted him, "A speedster student? YES!" the man cheered.

"Oh, so there are other people like me here?" Barry asked, a little excited.

"Only me." The man said sadly.

"My name is Barry Allen, what's yours?" He asked.

"Quicksilver." The man said.

"Do you wanna have a race, Quicksilver?" Barry asked.

"Um, I would love too but I'm on a mission and WATCH OUT!" Quicksilver warned.

Barry got out of the way of the bullets.

"Why are the army attacking us?" Barry asked.

"There's a war between people with powers and without powers, they want us dead. You can't start a life here, go while you still can, I can hold them off." Quicksilver explained then ran off to the opposite side, getting the army's attention.

"Alright, I'm going." Barry thought to himself and then he ran off into a breach.

The Breach took Barry to Earth-2.

"Barry? What are you doing here?" Jesse asked him.

"I'm just trying to move on with my life, Jesse." Barry said.

"I can help you with that. Well, you did the same thing with me and my dad, in your Earth." Jesse agreed to help him start a new life.

"Do you need any help, Jesse?" Barry asked, "I can help you fight crime out there on the streets." Barry commented.

"No thanks, I have Kara with me." Jesse denied the offer.

"Kara's here?" Barry asked confused.

"Yeah, she came here weeks ago trying to find you." Jesse informed her former mentor.

"Jesse, I-" Barry began, "Something happened between me and Kara, but I'm not sure if you have time to hear it." he commented.

"I already heard it, don't worry." Jesse shrugs.

"Well, I've been exploring the Multiverse trying to get a fresh start after defeating the Monitor's brother, and I think-I think I'll stay here." Barry commented.

Before Jesse could reply, Kara entered the room and ran to Barry, hugging him.

"Kara." Barry began, "It's good to see you." Barry said.

"Why did you leave?" Kara asked, now crying.

"Because I thought you'd be happier without me." Barry told her with a frown.

"Well, you thought wrong." Kara tightened her grip on him as if he will disappear again.

"Kara, I told Oliver this when you weren't around to hear it, so I'll say it again." Barry said, "I want you to be happy, even if it's not with me." he told her, frowning. "You deserve better, Kara."

"No, I don't." Kara denied, "You do."

"Why are you crying?" Barry asked Kara.

"Am I not enough that you had to search the Multiverse for my alternative?" Kara asked while crying.

"I've told my mother Kara, that I just wanted the pain in my heart to go away." Barry commented.

"What makes it hurt?" Kara asked him.

"I just-I've never told you this Kara but when I was young, my mother cheated on my father. And it took a very, very long time for her to win back his trust and his love...Even before she died, my mother still hadn't completely earned back my father's trust and love." Barry explained, "It was like a small part of him always wondered if she would cheat on him again."

"So, it's over now? That's it? I promise to never do it again, please Barry." Kara pleaded.

"You get one chance, Kara. More one chance." Barry began acidly, "If you hurt me again, we're done. Even if you hurt me while under the influence of Red Kryptonite, we're done." Barry remarked.

"You won't get a third chance, if you fuck up again, You'll have to live with your mistake and live without me in your life, are we clear?" Barry asked pointedly.

"Yes, I would do anything just to be with you again. I will never hurt you again, Barry. Intentional or not." Kara promised.

"I'm sorry if I sounded like an asshole when I said that, I'm just really angry and hurt, right now." Barry replied with a frown.

"I understand, are you going home now?" Kara asked him.

Barry just nodded his head and said, "Goodbye Jesse, thank you for everything."

"Bye Barry, Kara. I'm glad you're back together." Jesse said with a smile.

Barry picked up Kara bridal style and ran through a breach back to their Earth.

Barry and Kara landed back in the DEO. And they surprised a bunch of DEO guards who pointed their guns at Barry by instinct…

"They don't recognize me anymore, honey?" Barry asked Kara while putting his hands up.

"They're just surprised Barry. Because it's not everyday that someone comes back from the dead." Kara remarked.

"Hey! Sara comes back from the dead all the time." Barry defended.

"They didn't know about her, until our Earth's merged together." Kara replied.

"Wait, they merged together?!" Barry asked incredulously.

"How else would you explain National City showing up on an Earth that has STAR Labs?" Kara answered a question with a question.

"I didn't notice, I was so busy leaving this Earth." Barry shrugged.

"You can put the guns down now, guys." Kara remarked acidly, "Jesus Christ, he's not a threat."

The entire DEO didn't obey her command until a voice ordered them...

"Stand down!" The voice of Alex Danvers was heard.

The entire DEO lowered their weapons and backed away.

Alex saw Barry and pinned him on the ground and asked, "Why did leave my sister like that? She had to give birth to the twins without you."

"I don't know," Barry replied, "Why did your sister have to cheat on me!? You don't give a damn about anyone else's pain but your sister's!" Barry replied acidly.

"I thought that you are forgiving me now?" Kara asked him sadly.

"I am. I am just trying to justify myself for leaving you. That's all." Barry replied.

"Alex, let him go now! The past doesn't matter now, what matters is that he's here now and he's here to stay." Kara defended her lover.

Alex reluctantly backed away and left in a huff.

"Do I need to expect that sort of reaction from everybody?" Barry asked while getting up.

"I'm sorry, Barry. They just need some time to forgive you, that's all." Kara replied.

"Where should I stay? Is it too weird if I stayed with you or should I stay at a hotel?" Barry asked her.

"You can stay with me, Barry." Kara replied, "We just need to get a guest room set up for you, okay?"

"Yeah sure." Barry agreed.

They got a guest room set up at Kara's apartment and they bought dinner for the night. They bought pizza and they ate together in silence.

"What happened to you and the girls when I was gone?" Barry asked out of the blue.

"Well, like Alex said I had to give birth to the twins without you, and I was with Adam for a while but he kept coming home drunk and beat up and I told him to get lost." Kara recalled.

"I'm sorry." Barry said while looking down.

"No amount of 'sorry's' will ever make-up for what we did to each other, Barry." Kara replied, "I realize that now."

"I know but I should've been here, supporting you even as a friend, then." Barry said while refusing to meet Kara's eyes.

"I understand, Barry. You were-are in pain, and I caused that." Kara said with regret.

"No, we caused that." Barry corrected.

"I was the one who let you go, I was the one who ran away, and I was the one who isn't enough." Barry listed off.

"You couldn't look beyond your own pain, that's understandable." Kara replied, but silently she was beginning to understand why Alex hated Barry for him, leaving her to give birth alone.

"I wish we could go back and change things." Barry commented before his eyes lit up with an idea coming to his head.

"You'll have to fight The Anti-Monitor again, though." Kara replied, understanding that look.

"But I can get back all the time that I lost with you and the girls. I can be there for you and them. No Adam and no heartbreak." Barry reasoned.

"And what if you meet a Time Wraith along the way, huh? What then, Barry?" Kara replied.

"I'll just flash Adam away before he bumps into you, then I'm telling our past selves what will happen, the future will change." Barry explained with a smile.

"Can you bring me with you, when you do that?" Kara asked, "Because your past-self might think you're another Savitar." Kara reasoned.

"Kara, it's dangerous. If all of my plan fails, what will happen to the twins?" Barry asked her.

"Here's a thought, Barry." Kara began, "Flash Adam away and knock him out and then flash our past-selves here to the future, because they're not going to believe you." Kara replied.

"Just know that if this fails that I love you." Barry said while looking directly at Kara's eyes, meaning every word he said.

"I still love you, Barry. Even though you left me alone to raise the twins by myself." Kara replied.

"I still love you, Kara. Even though you cheated on me before the twins were born." Barry retorted then kissed Kara passionately.

"Good luck." Kara said simply, after breaking the kiss.

"I don't need luck when I have you." Barry said before flashing away.

The Past

Barry Allen travelled to the past and flashed away Adam Foster before he had a chance to bump into Kara Danvers. Then he knocked Adam unconscious as hard as he could, leaving a lump on Adam's head.

Then he waited for the right moment where his past-self met Past-Kara.

Past-Kara got a call from Past-Barry saying that they will meet in Jitters for lunch.

Future-Barry waited for his past-self to meet up with Past-Kara and then he flashed them away to the future.

The Future

"Wha-Where are we?" Past-Barry asked Future-Barry.

"You did it." Future-Kara told them.

"What is happening? Why are we… whatever this place is?" Past-Kara asked them.

"I-no, we cheated on Barry with Adam Foster." Future-Kara explained to Past-Kara.

"No, that's impossible. I would never cheat on Barry, especially with Adam. I even haven't met Adam yet since the Red Kryptonite accident." Kara told her future self.

"Barry, flash Alex over here." Future-Kara replied to Future-Barry. "Alex will help us explain everything to them."

Future-Barry flashed Alex to their apartment.

"What do you want, Allen?" Alex asked Future-Barry, annoyed.

"Explain to them," Future-Barry gestured to their past-selves, "What happened."

"Why are there two of you? Who are they?" Alex asked, confused.

"I went into the past to tell our past-selves what happened, but they don't believe me, you tell them." Future-Barry replied aggressively.

"What? That you basically left my sister and went off the grid? Or that you weren't there when your kids were born?" Alex spat

"W-What!?" Past-Barry exclaimed.

"This Barry is a coward, a quitter, and a downright idiot. Don't be this guy, be better." Alex said while gesturing towards Future-Barry.

"And don't let your pregnancy hormones make you kiss another man." Future-Barry replied to Past-Kara with resentment.

"Why? What happened?" Past-Kara asked.

"Make yourself useful." Future-Barry replied to Alex, "Tell her!"

"Why me?! I'm not the one who was there and saw it happen with my own eyes." Alex said, bitterly.

"Because they don't believe us, they're too stupid to believe what is right in front of them!" Future-Barry replied angrily.

"ADAM KISSED ME, OKAY?! HE KISSED ME AND BARRY SAW IT!" Future-Kara yelled out.

"W-What!? Y-you're a cheater, Kara!?" Past-Barry replied, incredulously.

Future-Kara looked down in shame and said, "Yes, I was but your Kara isn't. Don't judge her with my actions."

"I don't think this is going to work out." Past-Barry replied before flashing away.

Future-Kara went after Past-Barry and found him in the Time Vault.

Past-Barry just shook his head and buried his face into his hands.

"I should never have got together with you, Kara." Past-Barry replied, "I should never have had sex with you." Past-Barry said bitterly.

"Why? Was I so bad?" Future-Kara teased him, trying to hide the pain from his words.

"Because you're a cheater. A whore." Past-Barry replied.

"Yeah, I remember one night that you said I was your whore." Future-Kara told him.

"Well, obviously not. You're Adam's whore." Past-Barry spat.

"Do you know why we did this, Barry?" Future-Kara sighed.

"You wanted to change the past." Past-Barry replied.

"Because we regret all of our mistakes, even the future you." Future-Kara said.

"You know why I'm regretting that I ever got together with you?" Past-Barry replied, "It has something to do with what my mother did to my father." Past-Barry said vaguely.

"I know, you already told that story to me, the day we met again. You explained yourself to me even when I was the one who wronged you." Future-Kara said to him.

"I promised myself that I would never experience the pain that my mother put my father through." Past-Barry replied.

"Blame me, say all that you want to say to me but don't blame Past-Kara, she wasn't the one who cheated on you." Future-Kara tried to persuade Past-Barry.

"….I can't trust you. Any version of you." Past-Barry stubbornly replied.

"Why not!? Why throw away your relationship with my past self because of a single mistake that I made!?" Kara screeched, incredulously.

"Because I never thought it was possible but I…hate you now, both versions of you. I can't stand you because you're a cheating bitch and there's a possibility that MY Kara might turn out the same way." Barry reasoned to her.

Future-Kara was silent for a moment as she let the words of her lover's past self sink in. She felt her heart break in two. This was all for nothing! In the end, the past refused to change and knowledge of a possible future just made it worse!

"If you truly feel that way then go back to the past and break things off with my past self. I can't believe you! This was a waste of time! I'm sorry I fell in love with you, Barry! I'm sorry I wasted the best years of my life on you!" Kara screamed in anguish.

And with that, Kara's future-self flew away from Past-Barry.

Past-Barry decided to break things off with Kara's past self a different way…

Barry went back in time to the moment just before he had sex with Kara at a Holiday Inn.

"Babe," Kara began, "Did you mean what you said to Joe a while back, about naming our son after him if we have a son?" Kara asked.

"I can't be with you anymore, Kara. Sorry not, sorry." Barry said bitterly, before flashing away to another dimension.
