The student loan didn't come through, and unless she found the money in two weeks, Kelly would be forced to quit school and return to her small home town where the best she could hope for was a job at Joe's diner waiting tables.

"What's wrong?" asked Jaime, her roommate. "You look like you're ready to cry?"

"I am" Kelly answered.

"What's the problem?" Jaime asked.

Kelly told her about her financial issue.

"So you need a lot of money very quickly" Jaime said

"I got until a week from next Monday"

Jaime smiled.

"I might be able to help" Jaime said. "You ever wonder how I always seem to have extra cash?"

"Well, yes" Kelly answered. It always seem odd that as a struggling student, Jaime was never short money to shopping.

"You have to promise you wont tell anyone this..."

"I promise"

"Ever hear of Miss Terry's Lounge?"

"Isn't that the strip club on 6th street"

"Yes" Jaime said. "I work there. And if you want, I think I can get you a job there"

"As a stripper???" Kelly asked.

"What else?" Jaime answered.

"I couldn't do that. Taking my clothes off in front of strangers"

"Suit yourself" Jaime said. "But I don't see you getting enough money in two weeks any other way"
