Mister Michael Ryan is a football and basketball star from a triple-A High School close to where he grew up. One could easily think people were giving him anything he wants for his success in sports; However, growing up as an orphan for the first seven years of his life taught him there is no such thing as a free lunch. Thus, he did his best to be the one paying any of his debts.
Born in a twentieth of June to a teenage mother who probably had less idea than Michael does, his birth mother did try to keep and take care of him.
That period of life is largely a vague mystery to Michael. They say that he is repressing the memories; But he feels rather neutral about it so he questions if that is right or not. He does remember the ones paying his birth mother’s bills, had died and without the support of her parent’s she was unable to take care of Michael.
The Ryans take Michael in when he found one of his soul mates as a best friend. Charles the first Ryan is Michael’s adopted brother now but they both tended to seem oblivious to the adopted part. Charles is a sports jock as well, and decided to go to the University with his brother. However, Charles is going on an R.O.T.C. scholarship with the Navy.
Three sisters ended up as part of a packaged deal for Michael. All but one fawned all over him and he takes the attention in stride. Though, Charles said he is accepted and safe, Michael is unsure and reluctant to start anything romantic with any of them.
The one who is almost hostile to Michael happens to be the oldest child by a couple of years. Amethyst the second, or Amy, as she prefers, was half way through the same college that Charles and Michael are headed too. Sarcastically he mentioned to Charles once, that half the family will probably end up there before long. Though Caroline, Helen, Sofia have yet to decide what college they wanted to attend. Sofia and Helen are applying to several.
Charles has a High School sweetheart that was attending an all girls’ school on the other side of town. They are pretty intent on each other now and Charles said he is moving up with to live with her in an apartment in the small college town for next year. Julie’s parents already bought the apartment back when they earned their master’s degree together.
