Left Stranded

You awake on to the sound of waves lapping against metal and the smell of the salty sea. Quickly you bolt upright and look around at your surroundings. You are in a circular metal pod of some kind. Its grey metallic surface lit up by a small fluorescent light on the side of the pod.

In the pod with you is a bag, you slowly, but carefully peer into it and find binoculars, 10 MRE's, a jug of water, a sleeping bag, a tinderbox, a machete and a spear. You gather these items in a bag and look down on yourself to make sure your outfit is in proper order. You wear a blue skirt and black thigh highs with black and white sneakers, and a small white T-shirt which tightly hugs your upper body. After doing a quick search of the pod again you make your way to the opposite side and begin to open a large hatch. At first, the hatch does not budge, but you tighten your grip and are finally able to turn it, It requires less and less force to turn until finally you hear a loud *click* and push the pod door open.

You cover your eyes momentarily from the bright light, but finally look out to see your pod is located on a sandy shore. About 300 meters ahead of you is a dense jungle where you hear all sorts of birds, most you cannot recognize singing in the trees. ''Where the hell am I'' you had just gone to bed one night and now you had woken up to this. How did you get here? Where is here? Can I get out of here? Questions surge through your mind and you begin to feel overwhelmed and panicked. After a few deep breaths you are able to calm yourself down. You way your weigh options and decide you have a few choices.

You can enter the jungle and see what you can find there, after all you only have enough food and water for a few days, and the pod doesn't exactly blend in on the golden beach.

At the same time the jungle could hold untold dangers hidden among the vines and vegetation. It may be best to stay with the pod and use it as a shelter for now until you know more about the island.

Your third and final option is to go on the move around the perimeter of the island and get a feel for its size, through from here the beach stretches well into the horizon.

The time to choose is now, if you hold any hope of rescue then you need to plan and plan well.
