Lucy entered the guild hall to look for her a quest, Natsu and the others went on a quest before she had arrived. Lucy sat down in stool and Mirajane brought her usual a whole chicken, Lucy ate the chicken . Lucy selected a quest where a Stone Golem was terrorizing a town, she took the quest and went outside the guild only to find Wendy making her way towards the Hall. Lucy invited Wendy on the quest she happily agreed and they made their way to villiage.

When they were entering the village, Lucy spotted a sign at the entrance of the village about a pancake eating competition, it occured to her, "Wendy lets take part in the competition we can go the mountain in the evening", Wendy looked a little worried," You know i cant eat that much Lucy remember what happended last time .". Lucy stiffled a laugh and looked towards Wendy," yeah i remember, but you don't need to do anything rather help me get up the mountain if I eat too much", Wendy smiled," As you say Lucy".They entered the town hall where the competition was about to begin. Wendy signed Lucy up in the competition, Wendy sighed as she looked in sign sheet as the minimum quantity of pancakes to be eaten was 40 in 40 minutes which nearly meant 1 pancake a minute.

Lucy sat down before the table and patted her belly, beaming as the competition began as the servers began to bring out 5 pancakes in a plate. Lucy knew her way to victory she will have to swallow the pancakes rather than chew them
