Mind Over Matter

Feedback and suggestions for other plot lines welcome. This is an attempt to get straight to the point - smut galore instead of a heavily story-driven style. I'll be adding branches for different characters, and maybe some options, too.

Everyone featured in this story is 18 years or older.

'Mr Perfectly Bland.' That's what my first girlfriend called me when she left me. If you looked for the definition of 'average' in the dictionary, you would find John Deer there as an example. Average height, average build, neither handsome nor ugly, average job and hobbies, brown eyes, average sized dick. There was nothing remarkable about me other than the fact that I was utterly unremarkable. I had never been lucky with women, most sticking around long enough to get bored and then bailing.

It was all becoming too much and one day, I reached breaking point. I needed to get away. I called in sick to work, got in my car and started driving. I didn't have a destination, just a need to move. I kept driving, all through the morning until I reached a secluded mountainside forest. I left my car and started hiking up an old trail. Evening was approaching already but I needed to clear my mind before I could go back. I kept climbing, it was quite the hike to the top and fatigue was setting in. That was, until I reached the peak. The small clearing gave way to the most magnificent view of the evening sky. I stood, bewitched as the stars began to dance and the colour faded from deep blue to ink black.

I felt some inner peace, lost in the view without much thought, living the moment fully. A particularly bright and vibrant star appeared to be having its very own dance party, however, as it moved more than any other. Slowly, its glow began to change colour and get wider. Suddenly, without warning it filled my vision, larger and larger, closer and closer, brilliant, burning light in front of me. I did what any normal person would do; I ran for cover.

There was no 'crash'. Where was the ground shaking impact?

The glow died down as it settled in the clearing. Not a rock disturbed in its gentle descent. I could see it now, a small meteorite, until the light dissipated and the mountain top went dark again. I pulled out my phone and lit up the area. I approached, cautiously and knelt before the rock. To my horror, the stone flattened into the ground, changing its form into a small blob like an enemy slime out of my favourite RPG. It shimmered, shook then leapt at my face. I screamed. I clawed at my face, trying to get it off. Pure terror set in as the creature entered my nose and I could feel it stretch and make its way deeper into my face. I felt a sharp pain and then nothing. I went numb all over and collapsed, out cold.

Birds. I recognised the chirps before I opened my eyes. Crisp morning sunlight met my dry eyes. I rubbed them and attempted to stand. I struggled but made it up eventually. I grasped my phone, turned and began making my way down from the peak. I couldn't believe I had fallen asleep up there. I was embarrassed and probably going to be late for work. I was so far from home...

I made it to my car, got in and looked at myself in the mirror. My face was scratched and bloody. I did a double take. More than that. Behind my bent and damaged glasses, my eyes had changed colour. No longer brown but a deep blue and green, a mix of swirling colors like someone had mixed the colors together then frozen them in time, a permanent deep spiral in my eyes. Then I remembered. To my dismay, the details came back to me, as did the horror of what I had experienced. No... No... No! I thought.

I looked at myself in the mirror again and did another double take. Where there had been scratches and cuts, my skin was now smooth. The blood was still there but no evidence it was my own. I sat back in my chair, slowly sinking lower and lower as realisation flooded through me. I had met some kind of alien creature. It was now nestled somewhere in my head.

I looked at my eyes again and realised I could never go to work like this, everyone would ask me what was going on and I could never explain this away... My eyes shimmered. My vision blurred. I blinked a few times and a moment later I could see again. My eyes were brown once more, as if nothing had happened to me. I laughed. More of an insane giggle than my usual one. I looked at my nose and thought about what it would look like if it were more defined. It shimmered, flattened itself for a moment and then reformed itself, the perfect image of my imagination.

I wondered how far this insane ability extended. This would need experimentation...
