My name is John Doe and today marks the day I take my first step into adulthood. I have graduated for the Leaf Village Academy and have officially become a Genin. Today I’m supposed to be receiving my new team and teacher at the academy.

As I was getting ready to leave, my father, Satoru Doe, a leaf village Jounin, approached me.

“Hey John! Aren’t you forgetting something?”, he asks with his hands behind his back.

“Well I shouldn’t need to bring any equipment with me today, right? I’m just going to meet my teacher”, I said.

“John , you’re forgetting the most important thing a ninja must always have. Your headband”, he brings his arms out from behind him to reveal my leaf village headband.

As he gives it to me, he says, “This headband is proof that you’re a Leaf Shinobi. Wear it with pride, just like me and your mom once did. Geez you’re growing up so fast!”

I just roll my eyes, “Please don’t get all emotional right now. And I already got that whole lecture about the headbands from Iruka Sensei”

I tie the headband around my forehead,”I’m not a kid anymore Dad so don’t worry. I’ll be fine”

My father just laughes to himself, “Okay fine. But you better get going. Don’t wanna be late for your first day”

I begin to rush out the door, “Alright, see you later, old timer!”

I turn back to look at him, only to see my dad looking at a portrait of my mother and saying, “He’s gonna make you proud Suzuha, I know he will”

And with that I begin to make my way to the Ninja Academy.
