Welcome to the Mojave Wasteland, where life is cheap and everything else is expensive. Reno was one of the area's least affected by the Great War of the 2070s but that doesn't make it any nicer.

Groups of raiders and Powder Gangers destroying everything they see.
Mutated animals roaming the wastes, searching for their next meal.
And thats without mentioning the city in the centre of it all.

New Vegas. The safest spot in the Mojave, aand the most dangerous at the same time. It's on the brink of civil war, under constant pressure from the gangs, the NCR, the casino's, the Westsiders, the Freesiders and a dozen other factions. But of course, there will always be people who are willing to risk their lives to bask in those bright lights, gamble their life savings away, brush shoulders with hookers and mobsters, and experience the kind of opulence and luxury that only Vegas can supply.
