Night at the Bar

"Hi Gabby," Melissa greets as you walk into the restaurant to join her and several of your other colleagues from your new job. Melissa has graciously invited you to join them for dinner and a local stand-up comedy act, and you've seized the opportunity, hoping it will help you fit in better at the office.

You contemplate taking a quick trip to the restroom before the show starts, but the lights begin to dim before you make up your mind to do so. As the comedian comes out onto the stage you quickly take your seat.

A short time into the show, waiters bring food to the table. You keep an eye on the others around the table as you eat, careful to pace yourself so as not to finish too far ahead of everyone else. Recognizing your shy nature, Melissa helps keep you engaged in the conversation by repeatedly asking for your input. As dinner winds down, you finally begin to feel like part of the group for the first time.

Two hours and a lengthy round of applause later, the lights come up and everyone around the table begins to rise and gather their belongings. As you stand, your dormant bladder awakens and urges you to visit the restroom.
