One Call Away

"Good morning East coast, it's Jack Daniel with your morning traffic! All seems fine going across eighty-one, though when getting off I-seventy, do expect some delays as major construct is making way in the bay area. Traffic feed is showing a light shower, nothing to worry about as these roads aren't showing too much of a problem for a dear driver's. Now, off to Jess with the weather! "

The channel switch's over to the next live show.

"A victim was taken into custody last night after falsely accusing a man of rape. After two years of the man Charles Matts sentenced to two years of prison, evidence came to show he was innocent after the family tried effortlessly with the police on the manner. We will give more in detail on this shortly. Back to you Pete. "

The channel once again changes to the next.

" So many options now a days, I can feel the adrenaline rush just aching to start up... I just can't seem to contain myself any longer... "

A child's voice, playful and innocent at the seems, watching over the television with remote in hand. The beaming light of the TV casting a ringed shadow around both the girl and the leather chair she sat over.

"That's right Tom, as you can see a major cold front is pushing into the warm front that brought us a few days of sun light. The system forming in the south has taken a major turn of the worse! Fifty-six tornadoes within the last twenty-four hours, this has to be a record and I myself is in shock. It's a slow moving storm heading North-northeast, and it's shows no signs of lighting up! "

The channel switches again, she then grabs her phone with the willingness to call the next person which airs on live television.

"Ennie... Minnie... Minie... Moe..."

The TV turns into a game show, airing live in the early hours. The kid gasped in sorrow, having to ruin one of her favorite game shows for her own pleading entertainment. Both feeling sadden but excited, the nerve wracking thrill came to the child all at once, causing a sweet little smile to form.

"Straight to heart it seems... Alwell, beggers can't be chosers!"

She spoke with such enthusiasm, dialing up the number for the announcer of the game show to let her games begin!

"Spin that wheel son, you are one hundred points away from winning one million dollars! "

As the contender was ready to spin the large wheel, the game show host agent was coming out on the floor with his phone in hand.

"Evans, you should take this call as it seems pretty important. "

He directed over to Evans, giving him the phone.

"Put us on commercial, okay?"

Evans issued his final words back, waving his hand at the contender before he had the chance to win anything. For now, the commercial and lovely pill advertisements starts up.

"Who is this? I'm pretty busy you know so make this quick."

His voice was rude, opposite on how he approaches people during the show.

"Y-yes I was just calling that I'm a huge fan of your show! Number one in America of course!"

Her tone was sweet and pure, giving away an innocent aura.

"That's real nice sweetie, really is. Is there anything else you wanted to say? "

He was in shock, she felt it. The child felt the sudden change in tone, seeing most likely Evans was expecting such a young voice to call him up during a show.

"I was wondering if you could play a game with me! A short one of course, I know how busy you are, but I can't seem to see you on the tele! "

" Well I'm busy with the game I'm currently playing with someone... If it's real quick, then sure, hell. I'll put you on speaker! "

A difference in tone again, is he thinking that he might boost his ratings this way on accepting a game from a little girl? I sure hope so.

"Really? You would do that just for me?!"

The child came out with surprise and joy, one which would melt the hearts of either mom or dad if they saw.

"Yes really, here and watch!"

The commercials ends and the show starts back up again. Evan stands there on stage looking up at the camera with his phone in hand next to a microphone.

"Sorry for the hold up people, but we just got a fan call from a child which has praised our show! I think the best choice of approach is to play a game with as she wants!"

Adrenaline was kicking in, toes curling at the seems.

"Now, tell everyone the game we are about to play!"

Game, now which game should we play? Options options, this is all happening so fast, how can I contain myself! Oh God which game should we play, there are so many to choose from!

"Truth or Dare!"

She spat out.

"Odd game to play over the phone, but we are gamed. Right everyone?"

Those in the crowd began clapping their hands, causing an echo from the TV and her phone.

" I'll go first! Pick, truth or dare!"

"Truth."

He scuffed out with a smirk on his face.

Silence came over the phone as she leaned on back into the seat. Taking in one long breath deciding what her question should be as she studies him.

"Is it... Is it true that you killed your wife in last summer? You know, that summer camping trip you took which then started up the hell fires that burned sixty-nine acres..."

Silence once again struck the phone as Evans looked over the phone with curiousity and anger.

"Who the blazes is this and how did you get this number?"

He questions out at the phone, switching it from speaker to normal. Holding it against his head as he waves off at the camera to switch back to commercial.

"Answer the question sir! This is a game after all! It's not your turn to ask the questions here, you can ask me one if I say truth, or dare me! "

" Look, I don't know who the hell you are, but don't fucking call this number again, you hear me?"

Ending the call in a rush, his agent was waving his hand in a slicing motion under his own neck. The commercials won't stop up, the cameras are still live.

"What do you mean the commercials won't start up!"

With that, another phone call is being made the moment it ended.

" What!"

H answered in a rude tone, angered fueling him over his past mistake.

"So did you burn your wife! Come on, you need to answer and play my game as you said you would!"

" Listen here you rat, I don't know who set you up to this but I'm not playing this game with you! Understand me?!"

A smile cringed over the little girls face.

" So... You don't want to play with me... Even after you said you would?"

Her tone came down with complete sorrow, even if she was grinning away at the seems.

"Yeah that's right, now piss off!"

It may seem he has forgotten that he is still live... Hehe...

The call ends once more, with the call returning back to him. Ending it once again, for another one to emerge.

" Is listening not your strong suit kid!? Your game is over, cut, done! Got it!?"

" How it saddens me so... I just hate to have all these people watch your death before them..."

" That's it! I'm calling the police on you! "

He ordered out, ending the final given call over live television. As he went to call up the police, he froze still on stage. His body began shaking as blood started leaking out from his eyes, nose and ears. Raising his hand up to his head as his stomach can be seen stretching downward. A sickening sound can be heard as he drops the mic over the floor, stomach making an echoing gargling sound. Shirt ripping open, skin stretching with red marks forming over the waist line. Without a moment too soon, the belly button tears open, his organs liquidating out of him onto the stage floor. Causing wide spread panic in the wake, he still stands there in complete shock with his mouth open as his liquid organs flowed on out of him. Falling on back in the large puddle of blood as the crowd screams out in a frenzy.

"It's been nice playing with you, Evans Williams..."
