Port ASS - The New Frontier

"Attention. All qualified personnel for cryostasis chamber management, proceed to Loading Bay 7 for shipment."

It was Year 4XXX, and Jay was a bored technician waiting on the clearance working on Port ASS. As funny as it had been to him, the way it was named, the joke got stale after the past three months he had been here. This was a research facility, and that meant automated processes, low lethality rates, and tons of technology just being developed by the most sophisticated and smart, but not sentient AIs, spewing whatever mess that they can come up with at the spot. In short, this entire station was a holding cell for toys that just needed to find efficiency for.

His job here, at first, was to integrate the new system of 'immortal field' which prevented natural body functions from... well... not functioning. That meant most registered living organisms are incapable of dying within the mile radius, which encompassed the entire space station itself. Having finished the job, he was now a site system admin for the field to function properly... But to be honest, he was bored. Very bored.

His colleague, Emma, looked up at him from her desk a bit as he sighed, before turning back to the monitor that definitely had minesweeper on it. At least have the decency to let people download videogames besides the default standard that had come around for... oh, 2 millenia.

"Still beating your high score?"

"No. And frankly, I don't care."

Then a small message popped up, and Jay blinked as he stared down at the monitor, scrutinizing over the small window... Before his eyes widened.

"Well, then... I'll just... go over and hit up the showers." Jay stood up, which just led Emma to shrug and ignore him as he shut off the monitor, dragging all the files with him to his watch as he walked out of the small office.

The message, as he re-read it from the start, proved to be more and more of a great news caused by an error.

"Site Omega Level Access Granted.

All usage of technology in the facility are now authorized for usage by account Jay_0095.

If you are not Jay_0096, please report this message to be revoked of unauthorized access granted."

It was one letter difference and there had been a system error... Who was this Jay_0096 anyways? He glanced out the window as the loading bay came to view... Full batch of women in cryostasis... The entirety of the facility to use for experiments...

It's not like anyone can die in these walls anyways.
