RPGs In Heaven (Contributors Welcome!)

You Died.

This was not the end however, it was just the beginning!

You, like almost everyone else, went to hell: and were punished for your sins in the most appropriate way possible: you had to live through all the negative consequences of each of them unto the seventh generation, over and over again, until you finally truly repented and were contrite for all of them!

Eventually, when that happened: you were washed clean in the blood of the lamb and taken to heaven, where you waited in a kind of blissful fog until the last of the sinners in hell, the demons included, were redeemed and universal salvation achieved: for God truly is Omnibenevolent,

At that point, long after the apocalypse was over: God addressed everyone with their new task: create or help create new universes for sapient life to inhabit.

"How is this to be done?" someone asked.

And God replied: "Like running an RPG."

Thus the great work began: many had to have the idea of an RPG explained to them, in which the great luminaries of the Genre among them, David Arnston, Garry Gygax, and Steve Jackson, were instrumental, but soon enough, since once freed of the mortal coil one has a totally perfect memory, people from throughout history were hard at work on trillions of new campaign settings and even game systems, and the creation of new universes began. Many people lacked the inspiration to create new cosmologies, and so on, but they too had a part to play: serving as the PLAYERS who would transform these novel like worlds that were static and without the essential spark of randomness to make them come alive into living, fluctuating, dynamic universes.

It is in this tradition of creation and innovation that you and four to six other souls from across the span of history, (Which went on for 10s of thousands of years after you, the author/reader in the here-and-now, were dead.), come to sit around a gaming table and begin the creation of your newest universe. Remember you have all of eternity to play this game, and everyone is very forgiving of people needing to take time for other people worlds, and has the patience of a saint, so no matter how long it took eventually the set of players for whom you custom made a given setting or even system would have time available to help you with it.

I want to mention something here, which I forgot to make clear when I first wrote this tale: though the content above does at least to a degree reflect my personal views of what the afterlife might be like, I DO believe in God and that she/he IS Omni-Benevolent, and that God will save EVERYONE, (Yes, even Lucifer, Hitler, and that guy who lets his dog shit on your lawn.) This story IS NOT an attempt to push those beliefs on anyone else: this tale is intended for entertainment, sexual, and literary purposes ONLY. I am not a minster, nor a priest, nor a preacher, and would refer anyone who thinks I should be to Mathew 6:5 through 6:8. I am a Cristian, and I believe in God, but that does not make me a bigot, the God I believe in is more concerned with the Ideal than the Idol, and come the day of judgement there are going to be an awful lot of people, myself possibly included, who are going to be very surprised to find out just how wrong they were about what God actually wanted from them. In closing, my major opinion of how to deal with 'The Prisoner's Dilemma' is to follow the advice of Marcus Aurilus: "Live a Good Life..."
