Rebecca's Journey

It was 1700 hours UTC and Rebecca was finally in her cabin on board the latest luxury cruise liner waiting for it to set sail from Southampton. This was the trip of a lifetime, paid for by her inheritance. Both her mother and father had died in a plane crash whilst going to a medical conference in America. The private jet they had chartered had simply fallen out of the sky at 35000 feet and both her parents and the four members of the crew had plunged into the freezing waters of the Arctic Ocean. The plane had eventually been found, and the coroners had decided that to raise the aircraft from the ocean floor, was not going to bring anyone back, nor provide answers as to why the plane crashed.

As it was Rebecca, a tall red headed girl, of 21 years of age had inherited a fortune, her parents business and although half way through her third year of her law degree, the University had granted her a leave of absence, for the remainder of the year. They hoped she would return once the University started back in the Autumn.

In the comfort of her stateroom, Rebecca removed the clothes she had been travelling in and put on a a slim fitting sun dress, a pair of flip flops and a wide brimmed floppy hat. She was travelling alone in a suite that was meant for 4 people, the expense astronomical, yet she had decided that it was worth it.
