Prologue

Princess Celestia was a grand and we'll loved leader. She ruled over a land of points and dragons alike. She had lived for hundreds of years and so had seen a lot of loss and love. The biggest loss was of her sister Luna who had been born to rule beside her. Celestia was the god of the sun and controls when it rise and lowered her sister was good if the moon. She controlled the tides and moon. Luna felt overlooked compared to her sister and called her out on it in public, in a fit if rage Celestia banished Luna to the Moon for hundreds of years. She took over the job of keeping the tides at Bay but hated herself for her act of rage. She bowed to not get that angry again and so her rain was one of peace and happiness. She was a mother to Equestria. One day Luna returned from the moon, years of hurt had burned a hole in her heart (and apparently her clothes) and she found and thought Celestia. Celestia beat her untrained sister easily but forgave her as she was glad to have her friend back. This continued for many days untill her loyal subjects thought Luna was a more openly fawed princess and so connected with her more than Celestia. Celestia felt mad, she felt her sister would try to overthrow her. Her concerns her false, Luna had no intention to overthrow her but Celestia just grow more and more paranoid. To counter this Celestia trained up a young pony called twilight sparkle and got her a pet dragon for her 5th birthday. She rased him like a brother and the 2 got on and played and laughed with Celestia as mother and daughter. This was all stopping Celestia going mad. On twilights 15th birthday (spikes 14th) Celestia had a surprise, she wanted to send twilight away to a small village low in a valley. She told twilight it was to stop her being more of the bookworm she had already become. In truth Celestia distrusted twilight, she was a bright girl and good with her magic but she had started to question some of Celestia's ideas. Spike stayed with Celestia. The next day Celestia used her power of the tides she had learned while Luna was away to flood the valleys and kill thousands of innicont ponys. These were ponys who liked Luna and also the points she had sent twilight to live with. Spike never saw twilight again. Luna tried to stop Celestia but Celestia killed her and chained Luna's body to the bottom of the new ocean she had formed. On spikes 18th birthday he ran away from the castle, with no money and no job he worked his way up to a shitty house and a shitty harbour job. He found out that the valleys were filled with dragons, all killed, sphe was the last one left

spike closed the book, his diary was all he had to remember Celestia before the great flood. He sat in his bed in his white boxers and sighed. He looked at a picture of twilight and him, he had not seen her since the flood, Celestia told him she had died. He covered himself with the bed covers and went to sleep
