With heavy eyelids Sarah slowly opens her eyes straining against the sunlight that is sneaking through the edges of the closed curtains. Even though the curtains are closed and only a sliver of light is coming into the room it somehow targeted on right onto her face.

"urgh I need to remember to close the curtains better tonight, sighed Sarah as she slowly dragged her self out of bed, fighting against the post-wake up drowsiness she always had when waking up. Standing at her changing mirror she looks at herself in the reflection.

Staring back at her is a young woman of 18 years, Sarah starts to brush her long black hair. A post wake up ritual she developed to help her have 15 minutes to herself as once she is out of the room she will have to deal with her parents and their daily questions of "whats your life plan?" "have you found a job yet?". She has been out of school for only a week, and they have been hounding her with these questions every waking moment they see her.

"Maybe I should wear my new coral dress and a white shirt today? Michelle told me it would really bring out the color of my eyes" Sarah thought to herself as she was studying her emerald green eyes in the mirror while brushing her hair.

"Sarah Breakfast!" yelled her mom from the hallway.

"okay, I'm coming" Sarah said "alright lets start the questioning" mumbled Sarah quietly to herself.

"I will change after breakfast. It will be an easy escape excuse." She thinks to herself as she takes one last look at herself in the mirror. She likes her sleeping attire, there is nothing more comfortable then her favorite black yoga pants and tank top, but her parents would be livid if she wore them all day long.
