No one knows how it started, but a strange disease hit the Earth. The Duons-2122 virus was at first a rare but cool disease that made those afflicted split into two like a single-celled organism. While it was inconvenient, it wasn't deadly and seemed like it was something the world could live with.

That didn't seem to be the case though. Within a few years it spread amongst the world and revealed it's true colors. It wasn't long until Earth was left a complete wasteland due to the overpopulation as well as an influx in war and violent crime.

A few tried to escape to other universes so that they didn't get afflicted, but they just ended up bringing dormant strands of the virus with them. Now the virus is out, and it's looking to conquer.
