Girls usually get their magic at the age of 18. Some get it a bit older, but it's rare. The new world order has changed everything about their lives, from schooling to politics. Schools are segregated by sex and it's a very good thing that they are. The things that are taught in those schools are the same up until the age of 18, the usual mathematics and English, some foreign language, a bit of the arts. It's when they move on from high school that things get interesting.

The men are allowed to finish school then if they wish. There is nothing forcing them to go to the extra year of schooling that is offered to them. They can simply go and try to survive the world on their own. It's much sweeter when they do.

The women are required to take classes when they turn 18. If they skipped a few grades, they still must return to school at 18 to take the course. It is here that they learn to control their powers and discover the ways of the world. The use of sex magic before schooling is prohibited.

After school, at the age of 19, these fine men and women are released into the world to do as they wish. Well, women can do as they wish. Men? Not so much.
