They howled and wailed at you about never finding a decent job,that your head was still full of pointless dreams and wasn't it about time you grew up,you have ideas above your station young man.
Yet you'd chosen to ignore them,as you usually did,and buckled down with a fire of determination that you always seemed to find when you were out to prove people wrong.
As the years rolled past you never quit even in your darkest moments and when graduation rolled around you were head of your class with all the distinctions and honors that came with it.
It seemed that all that hard work had not gone unnoticed.
The day you were due to leave the University you received a phone call from none other than Sky Sports themselves asking you if you'd be willing to attend an interview.
"Of course" you had replied "I'd love to"
