Superhero

It all started in 1938, when the first superhero, the Gladiator, appeared. He claimed to be from the distant future where Earth had exploded. Due to experiments his father had performed on him, Gladiator possessed superhuman strength and bulletproof skin.

He used his powers to fight crime in Cleveland. Then another vigilante, the Shadow emerged in 1939, operating in New York. He could not have been more different from the Gladiator, sticking to the shadows.

Not much was known about him, many thought he was supernatural. Then in 1941, a third superhero emerged known as the Amazon. She was the daughter of Ares, the Greek god of war, born in Themiscyra and possessed strength above a normal human, though was still weaker than the Gladiator.

The three teamed up to form a superhero team named the Righteous Community. Soon, more superheroes joined their ranks. In 1960, this team was replaced with the Righteous Alliance. By this time, the Gladiator II (son of the original), the Shadow (nobody knew if he was the same person as the original or if the mantle had been passed down), the Amazon II (sister to the original, their father was immortal), Flare, Emerald Flashlight, Aquamarine and the Martian Huntsman.

In 1963, a rival superhero team formed, the Scourge, consisting of the Super American, Armoured Man, Shrinking Man, Shrinking Woman, Thor and the Monster. Both the Righteous Alliance and the Scourge had many other heroes join their ranks during their many decades.

Barring the immortals, each hero would pass their mantle down. Then in 2012, a new generation of "heroes" showed up. Some of them were successors like the new the Super American, Armoured Heart, the new Shrinking Woman, Thor and the Monster.

Other were new "heroes" like Captain Miracle and Ms. Miracle. Unfortunately these heroes didn't care about truth or justice, they were just in it for their own validation. Soon, they started creating more problems than they solved.

This is where you come in. You're an up and coming superhero.
