The inland continent of Hausen has stood high as a testament to tranquil prosperity for well over three thousand years, allowing any and all walks of life into its humble borders. Humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, anyone. It's economically thriving kingdoms and grand living conditions for its citizens are all punctuated by the central city-state of Ghamor, an industrial and political juggernaut ruling over a diverse populace of well over one million.
However, only one year ago, the evil wizard, Yanz, performed a terrifying feat of magic which leveled Ghamor to the ground. In its place, a near infinitely tall tower rose from the ground and draped the land with its dark shadow. In all the confusion, Yanz took the opportunity to capture the four princesses of the four kingdoms of Hausen and encase them in a mystical amber high above in his despicable architectural creation.
"Muahahahaha! Now with all the princesses under my control, not only will their pure magic not hinder my tower's might, but I can now use their energy to power my lair's true capabilities. When all preparations are set, this place will reveal itself as a giant cannon I will use to destroy the sun! With all the land shrouded in eternal darkness, I will siphon the resulting dark forces and become the immortal ruler of all of Hausen!
"Not only that, but with my four all-powerful demons disguised as kingdom ambassadors, corrupting the rulers, all the royalty are too busy getting at each others' throats to even dare to deal with me. They've even gone and kidnapped their princes, the only four who have some inkling of a chance against me. Hahaha! Nothing stands in my way anymore from complete domination!
"Do not be too sure, Yanz!"
"Ah, if it isn't the good wizard, Yinz, entering my room as beaten and weak as I had left you two thousand years ago. I suppose you'd like one final crack at me before you finally choke?'
"No, I have long accepted my defeat to you. But, I still have enough in me to foresee that there will be a hero who will arise with bountiful courage, the sharpest wit, and a pure heart who come to end your maddening tyranny on this great land!"
