At the end of a cul-de-sac is a small house that can be accessed to by a stone pathway. This house belongs to a small family know as the Smiths who are know for three things. The first would be there kindness to anyone they meet so long as they haven’t done anything that would have led them to being a criminal. Second was the beauty of the Smith women with some thought to be given with plastic surgery or pure luck. And final thing or more specifically the person was their adopted child, Marcus who they taken in at such a young age.
Marcus was born into a family that didn’t want him because of the financial problems he would bring. Immediately after he was born he was passed around from one family member to the next because no one wanted to take care of him. This happened for around five years before eventually they abandoned him at a clothing store, telling him a random lie, and then drove away without looking back.
It was a few hours later that day where Veronica Smith and her two young daughters, Grace and Charlotte Smith, found Marcus who sitting outside on the curb. When she saw him sitting outside with no one around she grew curious and a little worried about this young child who was alone. After getting her children inside and letting them look around after telling them to stay inside, Veronica went out to check up on this boy and ask him some questions.
For around the next half hour Veronica ask Marcus some simple questions to get answers and with what she was learning she had called the police and child protective services to help. Within days Marcus’s family was found and brought in for questioning about why they had decided to abandon their child without a single thought of remorse. The answers that they were given showed how truly horrible of a family they were, with them showing that money was more important to them then having to take care of a, in their words, an unwanted child.
They were quickly tried and sentenced for six to eight years on child neglect and abandonment. But with that sentencing over and done with there was only one question to ask. What happens to young Marcus now? Many answers were thrown around with him being put him into an orphanage, finding a foster family to take him in for some time, or try and find some close relatives that would want to take him in.
Everything was put was all put to a halt when Veronica said that she would adopt him into her family. She was asked if she could wake care of another child when she already has two of her own. But she said that she could, was willing, and wanted to take care of him. More questions were asked before the adoptions papers were written up for Veronica to sign and within a few hours Marcus was riding back to his new home with his new family ready to start his new life with the Smiths.
