You awaken in the Heart of the Gauntlet. You stand in the middle of a massive circular room filled to the brim with doors. Each one is built in its own style; you see solid slabs of wood, hanging curtains, metal jail doors, and so on. Above each door is a label with the name of its associated trial.

Directly in front of you is a massive door twice as tall as all of the others. Your purpose is obvious; enter each door in turn and complete the challenge. When all of the trials are complete, this giant door - presumably the exit - will open.
