After months of hard work and little sleep, Dr Samuel Weston and his team of students had achieved his goal of a machine that could theoretically allow travel through time. Of course this had been done in secret after the board had not approved of his theory, he had to work in a old warehouse outside of the college grounds so know one would see his work.

In fact he had not even told his student that the project had been unapproved by the school board and that the funds he were using were partially his own money, a little embezzled from the school and a large part from a underworld loan shark. His life depended on this working otherwise he was in deep shit.

The students working for him were doing this for extra credit or had been blackmailed by him, so they didn't question him much..Well except Alice the brightest of the bunch who for the past week or so had started to ask questions that he was not comfortable to answer. "Dr Weston..shouldn't we have a board member here to watch as we launch the first test of the machine?" Alice queried fixing her glasses; "No not yet..wouldn't want to show them anything till we know it works otherwise I'd look a right fool" He said with a slight manic look in his eyes, that made Alice back away from him.

Dr Weston smiled as he said "okay everybody to your places soon we may witness a great moment in history..now Raymond..put Bell in the machine", Raymond a tall dark haired boy, put in a small robot that had a computer that would take a scan of the area it would end up and well as a picture , so that there would be proof. Once bell was placed in the machine, the door was closed.
