You finish the last document on your computer before checking your phone. You see a text from Logan your girlfriend saying she was home and had gotten dinner. Looking at the time you realize you should probably go home yourself. Collecting your things you log off and lock up before making the walk to the elevators. As you pass through the darkened offices you think about Logan. You have been together since college but both your professional lives are taking off and you haven't been spending any real time together in months. That is going to change this week you think as you climb into the elevator and hit the button for the lobby. You both have taken time off to spend together and just decompress and chill out. As you exit the elevator you wave to the security guy behind his desk. "Don't work so late Alex, you will burn out," the guard says as he buzzes you out. You laugh and start the walk home, one nice thing about you and Logan both being professionally successful is that you can afford a nice large apartment within walking distance of both your workplaces.
