The explosion occurred billions, perhaps trillions of years ago. Two universes met as they crossed paths, and collided with each other. It was a collision of such grandeur, that its sheer vastness seemed to bend reality in its wake. The explosion that came from it, sent shockwaves through the vacuum of space, never to be stopped on their path, unless they met something in their way, similar to how they were created.

For one such ripple in space to travel, it needed time, and lots of it. But after such a long time had passed, it was inevitable for the shockwaves to reach Earth as well.

With that, life on Earth changed for the entities living on the planet. As the ripple in the space-time continuum washed over the surface of the globe, people saw things change before their eyes. They felt these changes wash over themselves. Life on Earth would never again be as they once new it, as the old reality that existed in the two colliding universes, became the new rules of life, the new reality, for the creatures on Earth.

The first shockwave that passed over the Earth, was the strongest, and it left the biggest changes in its wake. It had the biggest and most noticeable effects. The aftershocks would come soon after, sometimes within the span of a couple of months, other times it would take centuries for reality to change all the more. In the end, its results were unavoidable. Nothing would ever be the same again.

As time went on after their realities changed forever, many people have reported on, or written about, their changes first-hand at the shockwaves that washed over them.
