The Take-Two Project

What if you could... start over? Try again? Charge forward into life with a brand new perspective?

Imagine a reality where you didn't have to look down at yourself and sigh; where you look in the mirror every day, with your ideal self looking back at you. Think of a world where problems like body dysmorphia didn't exist. Never too tall, too short, too thin or fat, too much or too little of any part of you, of anyone.

Sounds good, doesn't it?

From the welcoming arms of Encephalon Silver, we propose to you: The Take-Two Project.

With us, you will be given the ultimate power in personal customization options. Do you want to be lithe and graceful? Strong and imposing? Perhaps voluptuous and alluring? Everything rests at your fingertips within our state of the art facilities; the ability to become the "You" that you've only dreamed about.

From just reading the pamphlet or watching the published online advertisement, it all sounds just... too good to be true. While folks have to admit that the breakneck speed of technological advancements of the past few decades have been extraordinary, the prospect of a chance to literally rewrite oneself into a vision of personal perfection only comes to people in dreams and fantasies. Encephalon Silver was making some pretty lofty promises, but people struggled to argue with their results.

While still fresh and experimental, participants of the Project were already singing its praises, claiming that the procedure had "changed their life forever, better than a dream." For many of the wealthier participants, the Take-Two project was a surgery-free cosmetic overhaul. Young men came home with tall, toned, immaculate bodies of sculpted muscle and rigid, masculine features. The ladies could sashay pridefully with their full, heaving bustlines, thick swaying hips, shapely legs, and plump-lipped grins. The Project turned the mundane into the divine, cranking out supermodels like a lust-crazed assembly line.

For others, the project was a promise of long sought comfort and relief. The transgender community flocked to the Project, stricken to tears by the ability to truly be the man or woman they knew they were on the inside. No risky hormone treatments, no compromising surgeries, just... change. Not just change, but a real chance at being just as beautiful or handsome as they longed to be. The fortunate could leave their old selves behind and embrace a bright, beautiful future.

Truly, the Take-Two Project seemed like the foundation for a utopia; one where everyone could be their happy, ideal selves. Of course, like anything cemented in reality, the system was not quite perfect yet. There were rules. Restrictions. Limits.

  • The procedure was only successful on those who were still in the latter half of puberty. Adding on the legal ramifications of experimenting on minors, the Project was only available to those in their late teens; legal adults, but still technically developing.
  • Participants can only undergo the procedure a single time. Once the change has occurred, there is no going back, not even for minor adjustments. The human body simply can't handle multiple attempts without catastrophic health problems.
  • Everyone participating has to accept a "99% chance of complete success." This was, rather than a promotional claim, an accurate estimate of the Project's success rate. Approximately 1% of the participants reported an "imperfect" transformation, though nearly everyone was still adequately pleased with their results. An inch of height, girth, or bit of mass one way or the other was of no bother to them.

Encephalon Silver is NOT responsible for "complications" caused by the experimental nature of the procedure. Your waiver has been signed and notarized. The contract is binding.

"Everyone please, find a seat and make a circle!" A cheery voice painted over tired eyes chimed out from a forced but almost sincere smile. The older woman speaking, likely in her middling fifties, presided over a gaggle of over a dozen or so giggling, flirting young men and women, all freshly perfected by their Take-Two Procedure. Suggestive glances and flirtatious murmurs rumbled through the room, only dying down once everyone complied and took their seats. Once things were sufficiently quiet, the older woman continued.

"Okay! To each of you joining us for the first time, welcome to the TTP transitional support meeting. My name is Dr. Fischer, and I’ll be your counselor during the first year following your transitions from the project. To all our return participants, welcome back! I do hope your transition into the True You has been a smooth one!" Dear God, how many times had that poor old woman had to spit out those same, saccharine lines? She was like a record, full of pep and yet somehow devoid of emotion.

"I know you've all been given name tags, but why don't we go around and introduce ourselves? I can already tell a lot of you are eager to get acquainted with one another." Other than a few lurid chuckles, no one seemed ready to chime in first. Dr. Fischer tapped her pencil to her chin, her eyes scanning over the room of youthful specimens. "Okay... how about you? Could you start us off, please? No need to be shy! Just start with your name."
