Long ago, the Gods did battle amongst themselves with dice to determine who would control the world. No God was a stranger to neither victory or defeat, but eventually the Gods tired of endlessly rolling without resolution.

Instead, they created a board to represent the world and the many tribes within it, and created pawns to act as monsters, heroes, adventurers, and many more.

Creating adventures, and shaping those who would take them, became the Gods' favorite game. But no matter how fond the Adventurer was to the God, none could defy the fate of the dice. For better or for worse. There was one piece, however, that never allowed them to roll the dice.

But this is not their story.

The Gods are ready to start another game. But first, an Adventurer must be selected.
