Rain was pouring down over the small town of Swamp-Point. It was very dark, the moonlight was hidden by thick clouds. The few street lamps still in functioning states were not giving much light. A man was running down the deserted street. He wasn't running toward somewhere but away from something. He was clearly afraid of something and couldn't see where he was going, tears were blurring his eyes. The man stopped running as he reached the bridge leading outside the town toward the swamp area. He stopped there and look down. He was a complete loser and his life was a total shamble. The thoughts to jump down in the cold water and end his life right there crossed his mind.

For a moment, he pondered on the events that brought him here on the verge of jumping and end his life. The man's name was Alexis. He wasn't popular, handsome, or very successful in life. In fact, his life sucks. He has a good job that gives him enough money to pay for what he needs, but he was craving a more social life. Alexis didn't have many friends back in school he was bullied and even now his tormentor still continues to ruin his life. It is what happened this night. Alexis went to the gym and like always he went there very late at night because he didn't want to be seen by his tormentor that attend the same gym. His tormentor like to remind him that he wasn't alpha like him and more like a beta boy, a poor excuse of a man, and called him a sissy. When Alexis entered the gym late that night he came up face to face with Chad and his gang in the changing room. Chad had invented a story to justify his jealousy that Alexis was trying to steal his girlfriend Amanda who happened to be one of the few real friends that Alexis has. Chad had warned Alexis that the next time they would meet he would make him a real sissy. Which was something that Alexis wasn't looking forward to. Chad's goons tried to assault him, but he managed to dodge it with some dumb luck and ran away leaving his bag with his cards and all his money behind.

Once he reached that bridge, Alexis was convinced that Chad and his friends at stopped chasing him a long time ago. They were probably not too eager to chase him under the heavy rain. Alexis was pondering his situation. he had to go back for his bag, but Chad was probably waiting for him there. He couldn't even meet Amanda because she was Chad's girlfriend. The envy to jump was strong and he was about to do it when he heard a car stopping behind him.

"I wouldn't jump if I were you." Said a feminine voice and Alexis turned around and could barely see a woman's face in the back of a black sedan.

"You are Alexis right. I am Mina and I have a proposition for you. " Pursued the woman looking at the wet man.

"How do you know me?" Stuttered Alexis whipping the water from his eyes

"That is not important. I can offer you power, riches, and revenge on those jocks." Alexis could hardly believe what the woman said to him but it made him think. The offer was just too good to be true, but he doesn't have anything to lose anymore. His other option was to jump in the cold water.
