Travel Adventures

The hostel is smaller than what it looked like online – just one single building in what looks like a suburban part of the town. You're lucky that the town is small enough that nowhere is particularly far from the centre. You sigh, but remember that it was the only hostel with free space you could find on such short notice. At least you can console yourself in that you're not paying a lot per night.

You open the door, put your bag down in front of the reception area, and ring the small bell in the desk. You have to wait for too long before a woman steps out of a door, and dawdles behind the desk.

"Yes?" she asks abruptly, in a strong Italian accent.

"I've booked a single room", you tell her.

She frowns down at the grubby paper in front of her.

"We don't have any free single rooms", she informs you. "Is your name Luke Hammond? We've put you in a double room."
