People would line the streets, waiting for the parade to start, welcoming the circus to their town. Both men and women alike becoming exited little bursts of energy with each passing hour, for it wasn't just the show coming, but the promise of something extraordinary. As for the ever seeming presence tasked with rendering this iconic utterance, perpetually giving birth through the spoken word and melodious song to one spectacle after another, convincing one and all, that the people they saw were something far more than their earthen shells.

And as with every show beginning, The Star Spangled Banner would erupt into life, the hordes of men and women would sing along patriotically and upon its conclusion the lights would dim and the anticipation for all in attendance would commence. For what seems like an eternity, the silence would descend upon the arena, save for one lone drum roll, and then: “Ladies and Gentlemen, are you ready?…”
