Treasure

You sit back in a private booth in The Grumpy Dwarf tavern. You sip your dandelion wine, and smile. It is by far the best you have had in the kingdom. People don't believe healing requires any effort from you, and more than a few have grumbled about your deity Omaraha doing all the work. What they fail to understand is the energy required to channel a deity. A channel you have widened to the point where you can cure all but death. Still there is always enough coin in the donation box for you to come here and wind down.

You have nearly finished your glass when a grizzled warrior plunks down beside you. "Miss, we have need of a healer. We mean to recover the treasure from Alidor and return it."

You sigh. "No one has ever returned from the blasted lands."

He retorts,"Why do you think we want a healer along."

"I am needed here, what makes you think I would even consider such foolishness."

He points,"She says you'll go."

You glance across the room at a table for six, four people sit there. Then you notice her, Arielle Stone. You two were novices together, she couldn't handle the vow of chastity and left. You have remained friends since, despite your disdain for her sometimes dubious morals. Deep down you know she is a flawed, but a good person. Presently you know she has been employed by the crown as a spy, a thief, and a sometimes assassin. Next to her sits a male elf wearing the garb of the mages guild, a woman with a bow and leather armor, a female paladin of the royal order, and another man in light chain armor with a scimitar.

You sigh.

Arielle gets up and walks over to your table. "Please go." she beseeches you. "We leave tomorrow morning."

"Perhaps." You say. "I will seek Omaraha's guidance tonight."

Your sleep is troubled, but in the end your vision is clear. You can not allow your friend to ride to certain doom. At the break of dawn you head down to the stables to meet your friend and her cohorts. You saddle up and begin your journey.
