Annette is a 22 year-old priestess of a quiet village in the country called Farfield. She was the daughter of her farmer mother and late-father, a priest, who was a healing magic prodigy. She moved out shortly before her 20th birthday to the neighbouring village and set up a small chapel up the hill, providing cures for illnesses, restoration for the rare instances of wounds and even returned sight to the village elder's brother once. Annette was popular even before the miracles she bestowed on the village people through the connection with her goddess. She was especially popular with the male villagers who often competed to be the lucky one that could win her heart. She boasted clear skin, long auburn hair and beautiful emerald eyes. She had a slim body, but had curves in all the right places.

One evening after finishing up, exhausted from curing the latest batch of food poisoning victims from a particularly bad pot of stew, she settles into her house a few meters behind the village chapel.

Tonight though, she hears screams from the outside, coming from the usually-quiet village. They weren't at war, unless the longstanding peace agreement her nation had was broken... bandits had never been a problem before either... what exactly was happening out there?

Thoughts rapidly raced through Annette's mind when a particularly loud shriek from young woman nearby shook her into action.
