"Aww, cheer up! It's not all bad!" your mother chirped, "I know that it seems unfair to be moving so soon but... a job opportunity like this for your father couldn't be passed up!" she continued. You knew that of course, they've only said it a thousand times by now.

As you stare out the window of the moving van you reason with yourself; 'It's true - this was a good move for Dad's career. You'd be closer to the city and closer to all the faster paced life. Hell, you'd even be closer to the college your elder sister Kate went to. But... still. All your comforts of home - gone. All your friends - gone. Your favorite places you used to hang out - gone.' Your private thoughts are interrupted by your younger sister Gemma and older brother Bronson arguing, and they are summarily shut up by your father. Good ol' dad always knew how to shut 'em up.

You pull up to the driveway of your new house. It's... it's... well, it's a weird one. The roof is a dull brown ceramic tile that looks like it was expensive and stunning once upon a time but has since fallen into disrepair. The shutters are clean and new, probably because the realtor wanted to up the price but didn't want to spend too much money on it, and the house looked rather large. Almost too large for your family of 5. You all pick a room; and begin to set up for the night.

Night rolls in. Your temporary mattress is too sore on your back - and you wake up in this strange house. 'Might as well get a glass of water' you think as you navigate the unfamiliar hallway.

*Click* 'Wait. What was that?' You hear a faint clicking and humming noise from under the carpet. Curious, you tug at the wall-running carpet to find it loosely attached and covering a strange trapdoor in the floor. Ever the curious child you tug on the handle and lower yourself into the floor - at least until you realize there is no floor. You fall. And fall. And fall. The faint light from the trapdoor above you dims as you fall further and further away and you fall in complete darkness, screaming bloody murder the whole way down. Up looks down and you notice a faint light growing larger and brighter - you're falling up? You fall through into that light and black out.
