The night was finally here, and Apsra did not save any effort in making the meal incredible. She had been cooking for almost three hours, a three-course meal for three, and it was incredibly delicious.

"I don't know how you muster up the energy to cook after such a long day at work... Not that I'm complaining..." Karan complimented. "Everything was delicious! Those cooking lessons really did pay off!"

"Thanks!" Apsra smiled, her cheeks filling up with a bright red hue. She never knew what to do with compliments, even from her husband, whom she had known for 3+ years. Their marriage had been arranged, as was customary in their society, but they had 'dated' for almost 15 months before the marriage. During that time, they learned more about each other and eventually fell in love.

"I think this is the best meal I have had in months!", Roma exclaimed. "And you HAVE to give me the recipe for that fish! Soo gooood!!"

After dinner, Apsra had prepared ice-cream bowls with berries for dessert, which they took to the living room.

"So Roma, how is work going? I hope my wife is fitting in well with everyone"

"Oh fabulously!" Roma smiled at Apsra, who was averting her eyes. "Everyone in the office just loves her, especially th-"

"Roma, do you remember the thing?... that we talked about this morning?"

"What thing?" Karan jumped in excited. He wanted to learn more about Apsra's work life, as all she ever told him was that it was 'okay', and that she had a friend named Roma. He knew she was an intern at a fashion boutique, but he also wanted to know more about her general day-to-day activities as well. He had been sharing about his day to encourage her to share too, but somehow Apsra didn't seem to want to talk a lot about it.

"Oh, I almost forgot! I can't believe I almost forgot!"
